Yahoo NFL Lineup Week 4

Yahoo NFL Lineup Week 4

Expert Yahoo Fantasy Picks | Week 3, 2019

Our week 3 picks for the main Sunday-only slate on Yahoo was up and down, but mostly up…. naturally. Highlights from week 3 include a solid day from studs Brady, Zeke, and Cook, and a nice value week out of DeMarcus Robinson. We just wish we could say the same for DK Metcalf and Devin Smith.

With three weeks of soft pricing in the books, is this the week Yahoo DFS gets tough and challenges the pricing at FanDuel and DraftKings. At first glance, no it is not. It is only Monday and we have already spotted plenty of WR value plays on the board again for week four!

We are not officially into week four yet and the public has already hammered the Chiefs, Rams, and Chargers totals over 30 points. Which could translate into some monster fantasy performances from some of the most popular plays on the board.

Check back tomorrow afternoon for our complete picks and lineup breakdown for the Yahoo slate. You can also subscribe to have these delivered directly to your inbox.

Yahoo DFS is posting desirable player pricing yet again in NFL Week 3. I’ve decided to play value mostly at receiver this week and am actually quite confident in the picks below.

Yahoo isn’t offering the Million Dollar Baller in week 3, however, they are offering a ‘Baller’ contest, of which pays out $50,000 to the 1st place team. Chris and I debate quite vigorously when it comes to NFL lineups lately. It’s his contention (in my opinion) that chalky dfs is boring and dumb. While that could very well be a favorable opinion, it’s my contention that we’re all here to win.

Yahoo NFL Week 3 Outlook

Chris and I put together our best lineups for Yahoo NFL Week 3. I’m diving deep for value at WR and Chris is taking a rather rounded approach.

If winning big contests involves making ‘chalky’ plays and sprinkling in a whole lot of luck, then so be it. For example, the DraftKings Millionaire Maker NFL Week 2 Winning Lineup involved a bit of luck & some chalk as well.

Yahoo NFL Week 3 QB

Tom Brady

QB | New England Patriots | Yahoo Salary: $33
Welcome aboard Tommy, team Gibbie is happy to have you at home against the New York Jets. The Patriots are in playoff form in week 3 and the Jets offense is dumpster fire (especially with first stringer Sam Darnold and 2nd stringer, Trevor Simiemian now sidelined). Tom Brady has thrown for 605 yards, 5 touchdowns and 0 picks with a 68.8% completion ratio so far this year. The Jets have also allowed 273.5 yards through the air in their first two weeks (Bills & Browns).

Yahoo NFL Week 3 RB’s

yahoo nfl week 3 rb1 fantasy pick

Dalvin Cook

RB | Minnesota Vikings | Yahoo Salary: $33
Every week, NFL fantasy players around the world are faced with the same question. Should I start McCaffrey, Cook, Kamara, Elliot or Barkley. Fortunately for most of us, it’s hard to go wrong with any of the top tier running backs. This week, I’ve decided to roll with two of them in fact. I like Cook in basically every matchup and certainly against what looks to be a hurting Oakland squad. The Raiders gave up over 400 yards through the air against the Chiefs in week 2 (though touch against the run). In week 1, a not so tough Broncos offense produced 100 yards on the ground against Oakland. Either way, Dalvin Cook doesn’t seem to be phased by tough D’s, going for 154 yards and 1 touchdown in week 1 vs Green Bay and 111 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Falcons in week 2.

yahoo nfl week 3 rb2 fantasy pick

Ezekiel Elliot

RB | Dallas Cowboys | Yahoo Salary: $33
Ezekiel Elliot will undoubtedly and rightly be the most owned running back and week 3, as Miami is coming to Dallas. On top of Miami giving up 195.5 rushing yards per game so far this year, Dallas has averaged 302 per game (Redskins & Giants).

Yahoo NFL Week 3 WR’s

yahoo nfl week 3 wr2 fantasy pick

DJ Moore

WR | Carolina Panthers | Yahoo Salary: $17
DJ Moore caught 7 passes for 76 yards in week 1 against the Rams and 9 for 89 in week 2 vs the Bucs. While Moore has so far failed to reach the end-zone this year, we’re banking on that luck changing in week 3 when the Panthers face the Cardinals in Arizona. Arizona has given up 309.5 passing yards and 5 passing touchdowns per game so far this year. Cam Newton has been far from good form thus far but love the passing matchup all the way around. The other consideration on the Panthers receiving depth-chart is of course Curtis Samuel. Samuel has been targeted 17 times to Moore’s 24 so far this year.

yahoo nfl week 3 wr1 fantasy pick

DeMarcus Robinson

WR | Kansas City Chiefs | Yahoo Salary: $15
The miracle that is Lamar Jackson hit 2 weeks in a row, so why can’t DeMarcus Robinson. Is it a sure bet? Far from it. However, Hill is still out and the Chiefs face the Ravens at home this week. While the Ravens defense is fairly tough against the pass, only allowing and average of 254 yards per game and 1 passing touchdown in total, we’re betting Mahomes becomes the exception. Robinson had 1 reception for 0 yards and 0 touchdowns in week 1 at Jacksonville. DeMarcus however, is coming off a 6 reception, 172 yard game, in which he caught 2 touchdowns in week 2 at Oakland. Mahomes has plenty of weapons, but it seems likely that DeMarcus will again be one of his favorites, at least until Hill returns or injury strikes.

yahoo nfl week 3 wr3 fantasy pick

Devin Smith

WR | Dallas Cowboys | Yahoo Salary: $15
Again, Dallas is facing Miami at home. Additionally, Gallup is listed as ‘Out’. It really comes down to choosing between Devin Smith and Randall Cobb for a Cowboy value pickup at wide-out this week. Cobb didn’t break-out in week 2, but had a solid 69 yards and 1 touchdown in week 1. Devin Smith had a phenomenal week 2 performance with 74 yards and 1 touchdown. Coach Garrett has also commented about the likely-hood of increasing Smith’s targets after the Washington game in week 2.

Yahoo NFL Week 3 TE

yahoo nfl week 3 te1 fantasy pick

Zach Ertz

TE | Philadelphia Eagles | Yahoo Salary: $20
When it came to tight-ends this week, I decided on Ertz primarily because the Eagles are dealing with several injuries and Ertz’s already steep workload will undoubtedly increase even more. Ertz had 5 receptions for 54 yards in week 1 vs Washington and 8 receptions for 72 yards in week 2 at home against Atlanta. Ertz has yet to reach the end-zone this year, but again we like his odds with Jeffery and Jackson dealing with injuries (even against a fairly stiff Detroit defense).

Yahoo NFL Week 3 FLEX

yahoo nfl week 3 flex fantasy pick

DK Metcalf

FLEX | Seattle Seahawks | Yahoo Salary: $14
If winning the big one requires some chalk and 1 or 2 picks that are out of left field, I must be on to something when diving for DK Metcalf. Actually, Metcalf is someone who everyone was eyeing to be a stand out rookie this year. DK had 4 receptions for 89 yards in week 1 and 3 catches for 61 yards and 1 touchdown in week 2 at Pittsburgh. I think DK is highly undervalued and will continue to rise in fantasy value.

Yahoo NFL Week 3 DEF

yahoo nfl week 3 def fantasy pick

New England Patriots

DEF | Yahoo Salary: $20
Attention all NFL teams and fantasy owners, New England officially has a defense. If you can find value elsewhere in your lineup and splurge on them throughout this season, it’s looking to be highly beneficial.
