It is hard to believe that we are already well over a month into the NBA season. We have not put out a lineup article since opening night, so this one is overdue. We are looking at the 7-game Tuesday night main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings, highlighted by the Lakers at Nuggets which somehow didn’t make TNT’s doubleheader. Before we jump right in to our picks for this slate, let us know what your favorite plays at each position are in our poll! Bird’s the word. Share this poll….
In a year that the Warriors opened as such prohibitive favorites to win the Title that there were only 7 total teams with odds under 10000, the Toronto Raptors and Kawhi Leonard shocked everyone to win the NBA Championship. They opened the season at +1850. All of the offseason player movement has dramatically leveled the playing field, at least according to Vegas. The number of teams with odds under +10000 moves from 7 to 17. By far the most open field we have seen in the NBA in recent years….
In the heart of the NFL and CFB seasons, the start of the NBA season can often sneak up on casual fans. Well, it is officially here, tipping off with a double-header on Tuesday night. The Champs were slated to face off against Zion and the Pelicans, but with Zion nursing a knee injury, they will now simply face the Pelicans. Toronto (-6.5) has taken over two-thirds of the tickets written so far, with the under also a public-favorite bet.
The second half of the opener features the LA-showdown that NBA fans have been waiting for all offseason. No Paul George in this one, but both of these rosters were dramatically improved this offseason. The Lakers (+1) have taken nearly 70% of the money so far, and the under is also an extremely popular bet in this one with the total already moving from 227 to 226.
We are going to jump into our DFS targets for this two-game slate, but before we do, let us know what players and teams you like in our NBA Opening Night poll!

The current odds on Zion Williamson (-130) indicate just how much of a lock he looks like to win the 2019 NBA Rookie of the Year award. Zion is a box score stuffing phenom that will immediately make a massive impact with the Pelicans. Don’t look now, but the Pelicans are undefeated this preseason and Zion has averaged 25+ PPG over that stretch. Bird’s the word. Share this poll.
