PrizePicks Review Updated for April

PrizePicks, unlike typical fantasy sports giants like DraftKings and FanDuel, offers "Pick 'em" style games where individual players across sports are chosen to exceed game point projections. Beyond Pick 'em, we'll explore other aspects of the platform, including game types, bonuses, promotions, and customer service. This isn't your average PrizePicks review; it's a comprehensive dive you won't find elsewhere.

PrizePicks Review for HR

Gameplay and style of play at PrizePicks.

Something we like to do whenever we review a DFS site or sportsbook is to give it a spin.  So, we wanted to get in and play PrizePicks.  When we first tried out PrizePicks, we found their game types and style of play to be very engaging compared to other DFS platforms.

The process starts with choosing 2-6 player statistics. Picking 2 or 3 stats offers a safer route, while selecting 5 or 6 can lead to higher potential payouts.

To find a specific player, type their name in the search bar. On the other hand, you can browse the “board” of squares, organized by league and stat. It is surprisingly simple.

Now that you’ve found your player, you’re not quite done yet.

The PrizePicks board features a wide variety of sports and stat types.

PrizePicks boasts an impressive variety of sports, such as NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, WNBA, College Sports, PGA, Tennis, and even esports titles. Each market has numerous stat categories, like points, rebounds, assists, and more for the NBA.

Next, you must pick “More” or “Less” for each square in your entry. If you’re unsure, you can click the three lines next to a player’s projection to view their stats from their last five games and their average during that period.

So, do you win if you made the right picks?  Depends on how you’re playing. That’s where Flex and Power Plays come in.

Flex Plays and Power Plays.

Game TypeDescriptionRisk LevelPayout Structure
Flex PlaySelect multiple player statistics and predict if each player will score more or less than their projected total.Lower riskPayouts for correct predictions, allows for some incorrect picks
Power PlayChoose multiple player statistics and guess if each player will score above or below their projected total.Higher riskAll picks must be accurate to win, potential for greater rewards

One of our favorite features is Flex Plays and Power Plays. Power Plays suit those feeling confident in their picks, as every pick must win for the entry to win. However, the higher risk comes with higher payouts, such as 10x your money for 4-Pick Power Plays.

Flex Plays provide a safer option, allowing one or two picks to lose while still paying out. For example, a 6-Pick Flex Play pays out 25x for 6/6, doubles your money for 5/6, and returns nearly half your entry fee for 4/6.

Compared to other daily fantasy sports apps on the market, we found PrizePicks to be a refreshingly new approach to DFS.

Their unique board style of gameplay, along with the ability to adjust risk/reward levels through Power & Flex Play options, make it an enjoyable experience for novice and experienced players. While we like the PrizePicks Power Play a bit more than the PrizePicks Flex Play, the choice is totally up to you.  It all boils down to your risk tolerance when you’re playing PrizePicks games.

What are the entry fees for the games?

  • Minimum Play: $5
  • Happy Hour Play: $1
  • Maximum Play: $400

One of the great things when you play PrizePicks is that you get to pick the entry amount for each game.

Of course, the minimum is $5 per play. However, they host “Happy Hours” throughout the week, with a minimum gameplay of $1. You won’t get that with any online sports betting platform.

As for the max, that depends on how many picks you are making. If you’re only making two picks, the max bet is $400; for three, it’s $200, and for four, it’s $100.

The entry fees are straightforward and clear, allowing you to easily plan your wagers.

Overall, we found the fees reasonably priced and competitive compared to other DFS platforms.

How is the PrizePicks app?

Download the PrizePicks App

Unlike other PrizePicks reviews, we try the app out. We start by downloading the PrizePicks mobile app, creating an account as a new player, and grabbing any welcome bonuses that come with it (after all, why not, right?).

With that, we jumped in with this daily fantasy sports platform and fell in love.

Once we logged in, the app was easy to use. Navigating through the menu was simple and intuitive, allowing us to quickly create a line-up and submit an entry.

The stats are also updated in real-time, so you can always see how your picks perform throughout the day.

The one issue or “glitch” we had with the app wasn’t even with it. The link they sent was bad when we tried to confirm our email address. We had to contact customer support, and they fixed our account and the bug for us. So it’s worth noting that the app isn’t entirely flawless – but it’s close!

We’ll cover their customer support more in-depth further down.

Where to get the PrizePicks app.

You’ll have to download the app to get your Power Play going. Fortunately, that’s easy enough. Head to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for “PrizePicks.”

Once you’ve installed the app, you’ll be ready to go quickly! Good luck! And may all your Power Plays hit 6/6!

What are customers saying about PrizePicks?

  • Google Play Store Rating: 4.2 Stars | 19,000+ Reviews
  • Apple App Store Rating: 4.8 Stars | 190,000+ Ratings

We’ve created a PrizePicks account, tried the PrizePicks app, and compared it to other apps, but what actual users say counts. Fortunately, PrizePicks has excellent reviews across the board.

From a variety of sources such as Google Play and App Store, people love the ease of use and quality of the app. Of course, a few disgruntled patrons don’t quite understand how projections work or encounter a glitch, as mentioned before, but overall the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

Most people appreciate the clean and intuitive interface, easy-to-read stats, and helpful customer service team.

On the Google Play Store, the PrizePicks mobile app has received an average of 4.2 stars from over 19,000 reviews. As for the Apple App Store, the PrizePicks app has an average of 4.8 stars from over 190,000 ratings.

The success and popularity of the mobile app among sports fans speak volumes about how satisfied customers are with their overall experience.

With that, our suspicions are confirmed that PrizePicks is the real deal.

These are a couple of the reviews we’ve seen from real players.

Tyler Staton. Android User. This is an incredibly enjoyable app. The app consists of doing over/under picks for players of whatever sport you want to choose (including e-sports). In addition there is always support available to help you out with any problems you might have. Definitely recommend for anyone who is trying to get into player picks for the first time.
Alex Nobles. Apple User. Great App, I can truly say I’m glad someone told me about prizepicks. Always a great time when u can win money 💰!

PrizePicks customer service.

We always have to peek at customer service when we review a daily fantasy sports site or even a sportsbook. It’s often overlooked in most reviews but is one of the most important.

Customer Service OptionAvailabilityHow to Reach Them
Email24/7support@prizepicks.com
Live Chat24/7Available on the PrizePicks help page.
Phone24/4770-545-6450

We were pleased to find that PrizePicks has a dedicated customer service team available 24/7 via email, live chat, and phone. We didn’t find anything regarding a phone number, however, after digging around we found one and it works.

In addition to their live support, we also loved that PrizePicks has a robust FAQ section. Generally, we could find the answers we needed without contacting their support team.

So overall, PrizePicks’ customer service is solid and reliable. That’s something you don’t see too often in most apps, but then again, the PrizePicks site is unlike any other DFS site on the web.

PrizePicks bonuses and promotions.

HR PrizePicks 100 Deposit Match

And, of course, everyone is waiting for the part of the review – the bonuses and promotions. PrizePicks has several great offers available to all players, regardless of your level.

But for this PrizePicks review, we will focus on their welcome bonus. After all, that’s the one most players are interested in.

Once you create an account and make your first deposit, PrizePicks will give you their incredible welcome bonus — 100% Deposit Match Up to $100! For a DFS site, that’s pretty legit.

So not only is PrizePicks easy to use and great for beginners, but they have some awesome bonuses too. What more could you ask for?

Pros and Cons of PrizePicks.

That’s quite a bit of information to process, so let’s summarize some of the pros and cons of PrizePicks.

Pros—

  • Easy-to-use app and website design. We’re thoroughly impressed with everything PrizePicks offers, from the PrizePicks homepage to how easy it is to find sporting events.
  • Competitive entry fees. Compared to other DFS sites, PrizePicks is pretty competitive regarding entry fees.
  • Comprehensive stats and analysis tools. This is a massive plus for PrizePicks users as they can utilize these tools to make more informed decisions about their picks.
  • Live customer support 24/7. Whether you have an issue with the withdrawal process or a question about the PrizePicks promotions, PrizePicks has a team of professionals ready to help anytime.
  • Crazy welcome bonus. One of our favorite things about PrizePicks is their welcome bonus. A 100% match up to $100 on your first deposit? That’s real money, folks! After your initial deposit, that lets you get in and start playing PrizePicks contests with house money. Of course, this doesn’t compete with sports betting sites, but as far as DFS goes, it’s not a bad deal.

Cons—

  • No phone support. This isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker, as email and live chat are both reliable options, but speaking directly with someone could be nice when you’re trying to jump into a PrizePicks contest.
  • No loyalty program. While this may not apply to all players, having a loyalty program for those more committed to the PrizePicks platform would be nice. Maybe give out PrizePicks referral bonuses when a friend downloads the PrizePicks DFS app?  It’s just a thought.

The pros far outweigh the cons when it comes to PrizePicks. They have an easy-to-use website and app, competitive entry fees, comprehensive stats and analysis tools, 24/7 customer service, and a great welcome bonus – that puts them near the top regarding DFS sites.

PrizePicks FAQ.

Still, got questions? That’s what we’re here for!

We always get questions about PrizePicks, so we figured it would be helpful to put together a list of some of the most popular questions and answers.

Is PrizePicks legit?

Honestly, we wouldn’t even review PrizePicks if it weren’t legit. That’s the standard we have. Of course, PrizePicks is legit. They’re one of the biggest sites in the daily fantasy sports industry. With thousands of reviews on both app stores from real PrizePicks users, it’s clear that millions of fans trust the PrizePicks platform.

Is PrizePicks legal?

Another question we get from our readers is whether PrizePicks is legal. The answer to that question depends on where you live and the rules in your state or country. In general, PrizePicks is legal in most US states, provided you meet all the eligibility requirements outlined by the site. As always, we recommend checking with your local laws before proceeding to be safe.

What states does PrizePicks operate in?

PrizePicks is available to residents in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The minimum age requirement for Arizona and Massachusetts residents is 21 years old.

HR PrizePicks Play Anywhere

How old do I need to be to play on PrizePicks?

You must be at least 19 years old to join and play on PrizePicks unless you’re in Arizona or Massachusetts, where you must be at least 21.

Do I need a promo code to get the welcome bonus?

You’ll need to enter the “EWB” code when you register for your PrizePicks account to get the 100% match up to $100 on your first deposit. It’s pretty straightforward, but don’t forget to enter the code when registering!

Does PrizePicks offer a loyalty program?

Unfortunately, PrizePicks does not currently offer a loyalty program. However, they have plenty of great bonuses and promotions available to everyone. So while there’s no “official” loyalty program now, you can still take advantage of some great offers provided to existing players.

What is a Flex Play?

In Flex Play, participants select multiple player statistics and predict whether each player will score more or less than their projected total. Unlike Power Plays, where all picks must be correct to win, Flex Plays allow for a certain number of incorrect picks while still offering payouts. This game type provides a safer option for players, as they can still receive winnings even if some of their predictions are wrong. The payout structure in Flex Play varies depending on the total number of picks and the number of correct predictions.

What is a Power Play?

In this game, players choose multiple player statistics and guess if each player will score above or below their projected total. Unlike Flex Plays, which allow for some incorrect predictions while still offering payouts, Power Play requires all picks to be accurate to win. Although Power Play carries a higher risk, it also has the potential for greater rewards than Flex Plays. This game type is perfect for players who have confidence in their predictions and are willing to take on more risks to win bigger prizes.

Does PrizePicks actually pay you?

Of course! If you make picks and win, you will receive real money in your account. PrizePicks is a legitimate business that pays out winners as they win contests. All withdrawals are processed quickly and securely, so you don’t have to worry about not getting paid when you win.

Is PrizePicks a reliable app?

So far, during our testing, it has been a reliable and user-friendly app. The deposits and withdrawals have been easy, and the contests are well organized, making finding what you’re looking for very simple. We haven’t had any major technical issues so far, but we will report it here if something does come up.

Does PrizePicks charge a fee?

No, they don’t charge a fee for you to play on their site. All of your deposits and withdrawals are processed free of charge, and the contests don’t have any additional fees or charges associated with them. It’s all part of their commitment to providing users with an enjoyable experience on the platform.

Do you win your money back on PrizePicks?

You sure can; however, as with any other DFS site, it’s important to remember that there is no guarantee of success. Your picks are based on skill and luck, so you should always make sure to do your research before investing in any contest. That said, if you pick the right players and come out on top, you will win some money back. Once you win, the PrizePicks withdrawals are easy.

Summary of our PrizePicks Review.

Altogether, PrizePicks is easily one of the best daily pick sites on the market. From their easy-to-use site and app to their generous PrizePicks deposit bonus and competitive entry fees, they have everything you need to get started with daily fantasy sports. We also love that they offer 24/7 customer service and a comprehensive FAQ section for players who need help or information.

For our PrizePicks review, we’re giving them a solid 4.9 out of 5 stars. We feel that they provide an excellent platform for you to compete on and one of the best welcome bonuses around when it comes to DFS. So if you’re looking for an excellent daily fantasy sports site, this is worth checking out. We think you’ll enjoy playing on this DFS platform.
