Wednesday NBA Betting Preview: 2 Player Props and Best Bet for April 9

The Oklahoma City Thunder head into Phoenix to play a Suns team that would forfeit the rest of the season if they could. OKC needs one more win to secure home court throughout the playoffs, so expect them to show up tonight with three games left on their schedule.

The Nuggets play their first game without coach Mike Malone tonight in Sacramento. Look for Zach LaVine to pick apart their defense in a late-night shootout.

Thunder -9.5 over Suns

The Suns are officially eliminated from the playoffs, and they get the gift of Oklahoma City coming into PHX Arena to put them out of their misery. Phoenix is coming off a 33-point loss to Golden State, while Oklahoma City is looking to make it two-straight before matching up with Utah and New Orleans to close the season.

Although the Thunder have clinched the 1-seed out West, they still need to win one more game to secure home court throughout the postseason, with Cleveland just two games behind. TheĀ  Thunder are 5-0 against Phoenix over the last two years and should make it 6-0 with a big away win tonight.

Bub Carrington (WAS): Double Double +500

Rookie Bub Carrington has been a bright spot for Washington to close out the season, scoring 32 points against Orlando and dropping a near triple-double against Miami over the last 10 days.

While Washington is tanking, Bub has played a ton of minutes to close out the year. Against a Philly team that will send out a backcourt of Jared Butler, Quentin Grimes, and Lonnie Walker, expect Bub to get to the lane and produce on the offensive end, potentially ending the game with 10 assists.

Bub has four double doubles this season and at +500 odds, he could easily reach this mark in a game where he should play around 35-40 minutes.

Zach LaVine (SAC) OVER 22.5 Points

LaVine is on a heater. The Kings are 3-1 this month with LaVine averaging 31 PPG on 5.8 3PM per game (58% from beyond the arc). Against a Denver team that will play their first game of the post-Mike Malone era tonight away from home, I like Sacramento to pick up four wins in a row here.

LaVine is finally finding his footing on the offensive end, and no one in Denver can stop him right now. Post ASB Zach is shooting it at a 50% clip from beyond the arc. With no Malik Monk tonight, LaVine should have massive usage and output in a high-scoring affair.
