Are the Celtics going to get swept tonight? After seeing the Lakers fall in a close one last night, we’re hoping for a different fate in tonight’s contest, if for nothing else than more basketball. The Heat are looking to polish off the Celtics, while the C’s are just looking to stay alive, working desperately to head back to their home arena for a game 5.
Regardless of the game’s outcome, we’ve taken a hard look at tonight’s player props. We’re expecting big nights from top players, which you’ll see in the below. Without further ado, let’s go over our favorite plays for tonight, which are powered by Underdog.
Jayson Tatum was a superstar during the regular season but hasn’t necessarily looked the part during this series against the Heat. He did have an impressive 51-point performance against the 76ers but hasn’t necessarily provided star power in this series. We believe that Tatum will thrive tonight, taking over in a game that’s a must-win for the Celtics. With this in mind, we like Tatum’s chances to frequent the free throw line tonight, resulting in at least 8 makes from the charity stripe.
Jaylen Brown and Tatum typically switch-off, as one usually has a strong game while the other has a quieter night. Because we’re expecting Tatum to feast tonight, Brown might take a back seat, at least on the scoring side of things. He has only eclipsed 3.5 assists in 2 of his last 5 games, but we’re expecting big numbers from him in this category tonight. Look for Brown to cash this number with ease, potentially in the first half.
Duncan Robinson has caught fire over the last two games of this series. In games 2 and 3, Robinson had three and five made three-pointers, respectively. This came on the heels of two-straight games with over 20 minutes played. With an increased role on the Heat, look for Robinson to find his rhythm again in this game, hitting at least two threes in this one.
In the first three games of this series, Love has played 16, 15, and 5 minutes, respectfully. He’s only eclipsed 12 PRA in one of those contests, a game that he nailed two of his three-point attempts. The Heat will likely have their stars on the floor for the majority of tonight’s game, leaving little opportunity for Love to impact this contest, at least in the area of meaningful stats.
