In the early window of games, look for Alperen Sengun and Tyler Herro to continue to help their team win with elite playmaking, while Devin Booker should have himself an all-around performance to remember against the Kings later tonight. Get the rest of our NBA player prop picks below!
The Rockets’ center has improved in every aspect of his game this season, turning Houston from a bottom-feeder, to a team to keep on the radar for a play-in spot. Last game against Dallas, the big man dropped 31, 9, and 6.
With Dallas going small at times, expect Sengun to take advantage of his height in the paint by having multiple opportunities for kick-out threes.
Another young big man to emerge this season is Onyeka Okongwu of the Atlanta Hawks. Okongwu has averaged 15 points and 7 boards in his last five games, and after shooting 69% from the field and 50% from downtown over that stretch, we expect Quinn Snyder to incorporate the big in the offense more moving forward.
Staying with the Atlanta/Miami matchup tonight, Tyler Herro’s playmaking should be on full display against a Hawks defensive unit allowing the 3rd-most PPG in the league this season. Since Tyler returned from his month’s absence, he’s dropped 53 points, 9 assists, and 13 rebounds in two games.
While Murray, Young, and the Hawks backcourt might try and limit Tyler’s success as a scorer, the playmaking and rebounding should still come in a high-scoring affair.
It’s Jordan Poole’s return to Golden State, and we are going to take the under on his assists. First off, Poole seems to be an erratic scorer this year, and coming into the Bay Area for the first time, we would expect him to look to score at any cost rather than dish the ball out.
With Tyus Jones serving as the starting point guard and Kuzma emerging as a solid playmaker, Poole’s assist numbers have faltered, averaging just 3.6 APG this campaign.
Booker and the Suns face the Kings in this late matchup on Friday night that should end up as a close one. With the Kings allowing 126.3 PPG over their last three outings and Booker averaging 29.4 PPG and 8.6 APG in his last five outings, this is a matchup made in heaven where the best shooting guard in the league should take over this game early on.
He is averaging 41.7 PTS+REB+AST per game this season, but in a plus-matchup with a high over/under, we expect a game to remember from the Phoenix leader.
