The Tuesday, April 23, NBA schedule has only three games. All three games have the home team with a 1-0 series lead, looking to lock in their homecourt advantage over the visiting lower seeds in these first-round playoff series.
Last week, our hot streak continued as I hit over 60% percent of our NBA player prop bets for the fourth week in a row. Let’s continue our hot streak this week with the four best player prop wagers for Tuesday’s NBA Playoff slate.
The Minnesota Timberwolves easily bested the Phoenix Suns in the first game of their first-round series, running away with a 120-95 victory over the team. While Anthony Edwards went off for 33 points against the Suns, veteran point guard Mike Conley had a quiet game with four points and seven assists.
Conley is averaging over three 3-point field goals for April, but the point guard has not experienced that level of success against his opponent tonight. In four games this year (including the first playoff game), Conley has connected on just six 3-point field goals against the Suns. Bet the under tonight as the point guard struggles against Phoenix’s defense.
The Milwaukee Bucks stormed out to a commanding 69-42 halftime lead and never looked back in their opening-round victory over the Indiana Pacers to take a 1-0 series lead. With Giannis Antetokounmpo unavailable, Damian Lillard poured in a team-high 35 points against the Pacers to lead his team to the victory.
Lillard’s point total was a team-best total, but it wasn’t the game’s best point total. That distinction belongs to Indiana’s Pascal Siakam, who took advantage of Antetokounmpo’s absence to pour in 36 points. Tonight, expect Milwaukee to slow his scoring output down, giving Siakam a better chance to find open teammates and cover this player assist prop bet.
The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Los Angeles Clippers by a 109-97 final Sunday. Dallas was paced by Luka Doncic’s 33 points and guard Kyrie Irving’s 31-point effort. These two are the highest-scoring duo in the league as Doncic leads the NBA with 33.9 points per game while Irving is 14th in the NBA at 25.6 points per game.
Irving has had better luck scoring against the Clippers this season than Doncic. In three games (including the playoff loss Sunday), the Maverick veteran has scored at least 25 points all three times. Expect Irving to come out firing again Tuesday night, easily covering this player scoring prop bet.
One reason the Los Angeles Clippers jumped out to a 1-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks is their ability to control the glass. Los Angeles enjoyed a 45-41 rebounding edge over Dallas as the Clippers’ big men – Ivica Zubac and Mason Plumlee – grabbed 20 of the team’s rebounds in the victory.
Zubac has been a dominant rebounder against the Mavericks, snatching 10.3 boards per game in his four opportunities (playoffs included) facing the Western Conference foe. Tuesday night, expect Zubac to continue cleaning up missed shots and exceeding this player rebound prop bet total against Dallas.
