Capitalize on four, high-octane games this Thursday in the States, including the scorching-hot New York Knicks and their league-best defense over the last few weeks taking on Luka, Kyrie, and the Mavericks. Get our NBA Underdog picks below. Good luck!
Shai has been one of the most consistent guard superstars this season, and that especially has rang true in the month of January, as he’s nailed 11 shots in each of the last four OKC outings.
With the Thunder hosting Portland, a team that is severely undersized at the guard spots and has allowed 126 PPG over their last three outings, look for Shai to reach the 32-point mark for the fifth time in six games.
It’s starting to feel as if the Thunder don’t need Josh Giddey on the floor for more than 20 minutes per game. JG is playing the least minutes per game of his career while still struggling to score in chunks while on the floor.
With Shai, Chet, Jalen Williams, Lu Dort, Cason Wallace, Isaiah Joe, and others able to score the ball at a higher rate, look for Giddey to become more of a playmaker and score less than 12 points for the 3rd consecutive game.
Similar to Giddey, the Mavs don’t need Derrick Jones Jr. to score the ball to win basketball games. The UNLV alum and current journeyman has similar averages in Mavs’ wins and losses while playing about 26 minutes per contest.
With the Mavs hosting New York, who is currently on a five-game winning streak, allowing just 93.7 PPG in their last three, look for the stars to take over in the 2nd half, leaving Jones behind in the stat categories.
Devin Booker and the Suns seem to be on a rollercoaster ride of a season, unsure where the next game will take them. With that being said, since the new-look title-contending Suns have taken form, Booker has been an assassin against their Pacific Division rival.
While we can go back and admire the 2021 playoff numbers from Point Book against Los Angeles, this game will feature two high-scoring offenses that desperately need a win for team and organizational morale.
With Devin coming off three straight games where he hit less than 10 shots from the field, look for the point distribution to skew his way in one of their biggest games of the season.
Similar to Booker, Austin Reaves is a playmaker who shows up in big games. While we are unsure if the 6’5 SG will get the start tonight (1 start in 3 previous games vs PHO), Austin’s efficiency should lead him to points and assists with the Suns defensive front lacking any sort of superstar defensive piece similar to Mikal Bridges who left a year ago.
With our BettorView team rolling with Phoenix in this matchup, look for Austin to be a key player in the Lakers’ comeback on pick and rolls with Davis to bump up assist numbers down the stretch.
