Happy Friday, everyone! With just two days until the Super Bowl, fans have been looking for something to do ahead of the game. Let’s be honest, we’ve all been searching, trying to find the best bets to place ahead of the biggest sporting event of the year.
If that is you, you’re in luck! The NBA has a six-game slate tonight that is loaded with great games. With great games come opportunities for players to shine, and we’re ready to dive right in.
We’ve studied the early lines for all of the player props that Underdog has to offer, and after crunching the numbers, there are three plays that we like tonight. We unfortunately went 1-2 last night after a bad read on Victor Wembanyama against the Orlando Magic.
However, we’re confident that we can bounce back today and hopefully sweep the board. As always, best of luck tonight and this weekend!
Does anyone else think this line is too high for Paul Reed? Sure, he has seen a lot more minutes for the Philadelphia 76ers, but that hasn’t always translated into more points.
Reed has only scored more than 10 points in eight games this season, and while the Atlanta Hawks don’t have the NBA’s best defense, we’re not expecting tonight to be the night that he has a massive game.
He scored nine points in their last matchup with the Hawks, and two points in the first meeting of the season. I wouldn’t overthink taking the under for Reed in this spot.
Jordan Poole isn’t exactly the picture of consistency. Some nights he can drop 30 points, as evidenced by a game earlier this year against the Orlando Magic. However, in other games, he can look like he’s never shot a basketball before.
Poole played 25 minutes against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, yet he failed to record a single point. We’re fading Poole against the Boston Celtics tonight after seeing that performance.
Until he proves that he can get out of his current slump and put up big numbers against a good team, we’re staying far away from any of Poole’s overs.
Is tonight the night for some unders? We’re projecting so, apparently, especially for Damien Lillard against the Charlotte Hornets. Lillard didn’t play against the Minnesota Timberwolves last night, and while he might be rested, he is still coming off an injury.
We don’t expect him to score more than 20 points in what should be a blowout game tonight and were a bit surprised to see the line at 26.5. We’re taking the under in this spot for Lillard, especially with his injury in mind.
