3 NBA Player Props and Predictions for Friday, January 24: Can Garland Carry Cleveland?

Happy Friday, sports fans! If you’re an NFL fan looking for a sport to watch tonight, there’s not a ton going on, but there are still three NBA games going down that should provide plenty of entertainment. If you’re an NBA fan, you’re probably already well aware of the schedule for tonight, but regardless, we have something that everyone can look forward to!

We’ve taken a good, hard look at Underdog’s player prop board from tonight’s three-game slate, putting together our favorite player props from each game. There’s still plenty to bet on tonight, so let’s get into our favorite picks!

Darius Garland OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

When we started our research for tonight’s slate, this line popped out to us immediately. The Cleveland Cavaliers are without Isaac Okoro and Evan Mobley tonight, meaning that they’ll need some of their other players to step up. Who better than Darius Garland, who has been fantastic all year?

He’s played exceptionally well to cover the downfalls of his teammates, and we believe he’s going to do more of the same in this game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Garland has logged at least 32 PRA in two of his past three games, and shouldn’t have a problem achieving that again tonight with Okoro and Mobley out.

Trey Murphy OVER 8.5 Rebounds & Assists

Trey Murphy has been a fun player to watch on the New Orleans Pelicans this season. The 2021 first-round pick is starting to find his footing on this team, having great success in many aspects of his game.

His scoring numbers have been fantastic, but Murphy has also come alive in the rebounding and assist categories. 8.5 seemed like a low line considering he’s hit the over in this metric in seven straight games, so we’re riding with him tonight in hopes that the streak continues.

Deni Avdija OVER 11 Rebounds & Assists

Deni Avdija is another fantastic player in the rebounding and assist categories. He’s transitioned well to the Portland Trail Blazers and has made a big impact despite the team’s record not being as great as they might have hoped heading into the year.

Avdija is nearly averaging 30 minutes per game this season, giving him plenty of opportunities to rack up assists and rebounds. With that in mind, we’re taking the over on his RA line, a line he’s achieved in four of his past five games.
