3 NBA Player Props for Wednesday, November 20: Capela Will Crash the Boards Hard!

Happy Wednesday, all! If you tuned into the NBA Cup last night, then you were treated to some fantastic matchups. The Boston Celtics handed the Cleveland Cavaliers their first loss of the season, The San Antonio Spurs took down the Oklahoma City Thunder without Victor Wembanyama, and the Brooklyn Nets held on in a thriller against the Charlotte Hornets.

The on-court action was fantastic, and our player props also went over well, as we hit two of the three picks that we gave out! There’s always room to improve, and we thankfully have another eight-game slate tonight to bet on. With that said, we’ve put together our favorite prop plays from tonight’s action, which are all provided by Underdog. Let’s get to it!

Darius Garland OVER 18.5 Points

Darius Garland is coming off his second-worst scoring game of the season. Garland logged seven points against the Toronto Raptors in the first game of the season, and he only had eight points in last night’s game against the Celtics. The Cavs needed him to show up to beat the reigning champs, but he was nowhere to be found.

We believe Garland is going to be extra motivated to put together a big game against the New Orleans Pelicans, proving to his teammates and himself that he’s a key contributor to this team.

We wouldn’t be surprised if he had at least 25 tonight, making it an easy ask for us to take the over on his 18.5 point line.

Donovan Clingan OVER 15.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

The Portland Trail Blazers didn’t have much hope when Damien Lillard left. He was the heart and soul of their organization, and when he pursued greener pastures, the team suffered.

While Lillard isn’t around to be the star of the team, it appears that Donovan Clingan is taking on that role. The rookie is putting a fantastic season together and has started to make a name for himself in this league.

Clingan put up 17 points, 12 rebounds, and an assist against the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 13th, and while he didn’t have as dominant of a game on the 17th, we’re confident that he will make a big difference against the Thunder tonight. Look for Clingan to easily surpass his PRA line of 15.5 in this one, hopefully making for a sweat-free cash.

Clint Capela OVER 7.5 Rebounds

The Atlanta Hawks are taking on the Golden State Warriors tonight in a game that many expect them to lose. The Warriors are red-hot, and the Hawks look like they’re going to be a .500 team this year.

If there’s any chance of them coming away from this game with a win, they’ll have to get strong production from Clint Capela on the boards, which is why we’re taking the over on his rebounding total.

He averages 8.2 on the year, and if he’s just slightly more aggressive than normal, he shouldn’t have a problem achieving the over here.
