Thursday NBA Betting Preview: 2 Player Props and Best Bet for April 10

The NBA regular season wraps up on Sunday. After the Luka trade, Jenkins’ firing, and Malone’s firing, we can call this one of the most dramatic regular seasons of all time.
Looking at the best bets for Thursday’s games, take the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies and Zach Edey to make a handful of stops against Anthony Edwards and Minnesota down the stretch. Elsewhere, Cade Cunningham looks to finish his season strong against the Knicks in Detroit.
Grizzlies ML +108 over Timberwolves
How about these new-look Memphis Grizzlies? Memphis has played some of the best defense in the league since the start of April and has won three straight games. This is a pivotal matchup between two playoff teams in the West that should go down to the wire.
The Jaylen Wells injury is a massive blow for a Memphis team trending in the right direction, but with contributions from Zach Edey and Scottie Pippen Jr. over this stretch of play, Memphis can hang in there with a Minnesota squad that has really struggled against the Grizzlies this season (0-2).
Julius Randle has struggled as of late, and in late-game situations, I think Memphis and their outstanding April defense make a handful of stops to win this game at home and jump up in the West standings.
Cade Cunningham (DET) OVER 7.5 Assists
Cunningham has only dished out nine total assists since coming back from injury. That streak will end tonight for the star who’s averaging 8.2 dimes per game post-All-Star break.
Cunningham faces a New York team that he’s been able to pick apart this season, averaging 29 PPG and 8.2 APG in three outings. After coming off a tough OT loss to Boston at MSG, the Knicks might be a bit shot for this game, giving the edge to Detroit. Cunningham averages 9.6 APG in wins and 9.3 APG at home this season.
Zach Edey (MEM) OVER 21.5 Points + Rebounds
Grizzlies’ newly appointed Head Coach Tuomas Iisalo seems to have unlocked something in Zach Edey. Memphis has now won three games in a row while allowing 103.7 PPG.
The key? Edey has played 31 minutes per game this month while averaging 10.3 PPG and 17.3 RPG. Yes, over 17 boards per contest. He’s averaged +16.5 in four games this month and has been able to be effective on the defensive end for this Griz squad. I’m trusting in this new Grizzlies identity and taking Zach Edey to continue his hot streak inside the paint.
