NBA Wednesday: 2 Player Props and Best Bet for March 5

NBA Wednesday 2 Player Props and Best Bet for March 5

The wings in Portland are finally starting to win important basketball games later in the season. Against Boston tonight, expect second year forward Toumani Camara to make an impact on both ends of the floor in a potential trap game for the Eastern Conference’s 2nd seed.

Elsewhere, Memphis looks to end their 3-game losing streak tonight against a familiar foe in Oklahoma City. As the Grizzlies try to close their home stretch with a much-needed win, expect this high scoring outing to remain tight until the final buzzer.

F Toumani Camara (POR) OVER 17.5 Points & Rebounds

Toumani Camara is a player that you will need to keep your eye on during this Portland rebuild. Mixed in with a bunch of talented wings in the PNW, Camara is the ideal modern wing. Getting over 32 minutes per game this season, the second year forward out of Dayton and Belgium has been impactful on both ends.

Toumani has hit this prop mark in five of seven games since the ASB and the Blazers have won 5 of 7. With the Suns being their own worst enemy and the Mavs now down Davis and Irving, there is a world where Portland stays hot to end the season and grabs that last play in spot.

As for now, bet on Camara to continue his hot stretch of play as he looks to solidify himself as a staple in this rebuild. With Boston shooting a high volume of 3s, there should be some extra rebounding opportunities for Toumani in this potential trap matchup.

F Ausar Thompson (DET) Double-Double (+650)

Ausar Thompson has made just seven three pointers this season. Yet, he has defied the odds of how a traditional wing and complimentary piece should play and is a key season Detroit is in the playoff race this season. 6-1 since the All-Star break and 6th place in the East, Thompson and the Pistons head into Los Angeles tonight to take on the struggling Clippers.

LA has lost three in a row and facing a Detroit team that is elite on the inside with their top tier paint defense, I’m expecting more 3s to be put up by Ty Lue’s squad. Thompson is playing the most minutes he’s played this season and has remained impactful since the break with 21 steals over his last six games.

With the young wing playing around 30 minutes per game and the Pistons likely utilizing their pace to get ahead of the Clippers, I’d throw some units on Ausar’s points & rebounds as well as his fantastic line for a double-double. LA has allowed 8 boards to Booker, 13 to James, and 9 to Vanderbilt over their L3.

Memphis +9 over Oklahoma City

After three straight losses, we are banking on Taylor Jenkins rerouting the ship at home against the best team in the West and creating a competitive game in a marquee Western Conference matchup. Memphis is 2-5 since ASB while simply not shooting the ball well at all.

The team is just 31.4% from beyond the arc and 47.3% from the field since the break and have had two really bad losses to San Antonio and Atlanta. With that being said, OKC has allowed some extremely high scoring games to occur since the break and Memphis (with a chip on their shoulder) should come into this game thinking pace, pace, pace.

Their coaching and playmaking should bounce back tonight as they look to close their home stretch on the right foot. After losing two games to the Thunder by 13 or more this season, this one should be a tightly contested game.
