DraftKings NFL Fantasy Lineup for Sunday, September 17

My first Sunday slate DFS lineup turned out pretty well last week! We hit big on Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Jones, Justin Jefferson, and Romeo Doubs.

However, D’Andre Swift’s role on the Eagles was pretty disappointing, and it seems that Lawrence forgot Christian Kirk was on the roster. Despite a few misses, it was a good week.

For Week 2, there are quite a few plays that we found that could provide awesome values. We’ve crafted a few lineups already, but here is my favorite lineup for this week’s action, which can be found on DraftKings.

Quarterback: Justin Fields ($7,600)

At first glance, Justin Fields might look like an overpay here. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a strong defense, and they are coming off a big win over the Minnesota Vikings.

However, despite a strong defensive performance by the Green Bay Packers last week, Fields still managed to score over 16 fantasy points.

If that’s his floor, his ceiling is in the neighborhood of 30 points, especially if he’s able to figure out his passing. Look for Fields to bounce back in a big way against the Bucs this week, making him a great play in your DFS lineups.

Running Backs: Breece Hall ($5,900) & Tyler Allegier ($5,500)

How is Breece Hall this cheap? He put together a masterclass in Week 1, putting up 18.7 points against the Buffalo Bills. Hall proved that he’s back and ready for some action, hoping to make a big impact on this Rodgersless Jets offense.

Look for Hall to be a staple in your DFS lineups for the weeks to come, starting with this game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Tyler Allegier surprised a lot of people last week. He was a large piece of the Atlanta Falcons offense, despite Bijan Robinson’s presence. It appears that the Falcons are easing Robinson into the lineup, slowly ramping up his production.

While Allegier might be irrelevant in a few weeks, we love his value here. Look for Allegier to get some passing work as well as some action on the ground, making for an easy decision in your DFS lineup.

Wide Receivers: Amon Ra St. Brown ($7,800), Jahan Dotson ($4,900), & Darnell Mooney ($4,400)

Amon Ra St. Brown surprised absolutely nobody with his huge game in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He scored 19.1 points in this contest, which might end up being one of his lowest totals in the entire season.

We’re not sweating this pick too much this week, especially against a Seattle Seahawks defense that gave up 30 points to the Los Angeles Rams last week.

Mark my words. This is the cheapest that Dotson will be for the rest of the season. He is a dynamic playmaker for the Washington Commanders, one of the best players on their entire team.

In Sam Howell’s first game as the full-time starter, his rapport with Dotson was well-documented, targeting him seven times. While this turned into only nine fantasy points, we’re expecting him to get closer to 15-17 this week, especially against the Denver Broncos’ secondary.

Darnell Mooney is a tough read this week. The Bears didn’t have much success passing last week, which might lead to one thinking that Mooney is due for another down week.

However, as evidenced by our analysis of Fields above, we think that’ll change. D.J. Moore will likely be shadowed by the Buccaneers’ top corner, leaving Mooney to scoop up plenty of targets.

Tight End: Kyle Pitts ($4,200)

It’s bound to be Kyle Pitts’ week sometime. Right? Please, please let it be this week. After the Falcons’ first game, videos surfaced showing how open Pitts was, but his quarterback failed to hit him when he was available.

There has been an overwhelming conversation about the state of the Falcons, who head into Green Bay hoping to get Pitts some action. For our DFS lineups, we’re thinking he’ll pop this week. (HOPEFULLY).

Flex: Jahmyr Gibbs: ($6,300)

Similar to Dotson, we believe this will be Gibbs’ cheapest value for the rest of the year. The Detroit Lions have slightly tipped their hand, sharing that they’re going to use Gibbs more and more as the season progresses.

Coming off their victory over the Chiefs, the Lions will look to begin the season 2-0. Why wouldn’t they utilize their first-rounder to help get the job done against the Seahawks?

Defense: Green Bay Packers ($3,000)

The Packers surprised a lot of people with their dominant victory over the Bears. A big part of their success was their defense, who scored 15 fantasy points in this contest.

While we’re expecting big things from Kyle Pitts, the same can not be said of quarterback Desmond Ridder. Look for the Packers to get to him early and often, resulting in a massive defensive performance.
