3 MLB Strikeout Props to Back on July 11
Saturday’s MLB slate is loaded with quality starting pitching, and that means strikeout props are the play of the day. From a Cy Young dark horse getting his last look before the All-Star break to a Dodgers ace working a golden home matchup, the swing-and-miss potential across baseball tonight is hard to ignore.
We dug into recent form, opposing lineups, and matchup history to land on three strikeout props that all have real analytical backing heading into first pitch. Here’s the breakdown.
Cam Schlittler Ks the Nationals Before His All-Star Break
Cam Schlittler has quietly turned into one of the best strikeout arms in the American League. He ranks second in the majors in ERA at 2.01 and sits fourth in both WHIP (0.93) and strikeouts (131) across 112 innings this season. He’s been especially nasty of late, striking out eight in his last outing against Tampa Bay and racking up nine punchouts two starts before that against Boston.
Washington gives him a favorable landing spot for his final start before the break. The Nationals have struggled to make consistent contact against power arms this season, and Schlittler has posted at least five strikeouts in each of his last three outings. Given his current form and workload, a strikeout total in the high six-to-seven range is well within reach against this Washington lineup.

Yamamoto Lines Up for a Get-Right Game Against Arizona
Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been the best version of himself over his last stretch of starts, and Arizona is walking into a tough spot. The Dodgers right-hander sits at a 2.49 ERA with 100 strikeouts across 104.2 innings, and he just struck out 10 Padres batters over seven scoreless innings in his most recent outing.
Yamamoto has logged five straight quality starts dating back to the start of June, allowing just seven runs total in that span. Pitching at home with a full turn of rest, he’s lined up for what analysts are calling a favorable matchup against Arizona’s lineup, which has already seen him limit them to zero earned runs across 12 innings faced this season. With his strikeout rate climbing and the raw stuff clearly playing, a number in the mid-to-high sixes feels conservative.

Logan Gilbert Travels to Tampa Bay Riding a Heater
Logan Gilbert has been one of the most consistent strikeout arms in baseball all season, and he’s rounding into his final turn before the break in peak form. Over his last three starts, Gilbert has gone at least seven strikeouts in every outing, including a seven-strikeout, one-hit gem over 7.1 scoreless innings against Toronto in his most recent turn. On the season he owns a 3.19 ERA with 114 strikeouts across 107.1 innings, and he’s logged four quality starts in his last five outings.
Tampa Bay presents a fair test, but Gilbert’s swing-and-miss stuff has traveled well all year regardless of opponent. With his innings workload trending up and his command sharp, this is a strong spot to expect another strong strikeout total from the Mariners right-hander.

Today’s Strikeout Edge
All three of these arms are trending in the right direction at the right time, each riding multi-start stretches of dominant strikeout form into favorable matchups. When you stack recent performance with opposing lineup tendencies, the case for the over holds up across the board.
