Thug Rose is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Amanda Ribas in her last fight. That was a big confidence booster for her after losing to Carla Esparza and again to Manon Fiorot in her previous 2 fights.
She gets Tracy Cortez here who is 11-1 in MMA career and has won 5 her fights since joining the UFC. However, this is a huge step up in competition for here and Rose has a massive experience advantage.
This will be 1st 5 round fight she will have fought in while this is a normalcy for Rose. We like Rose to drag her to deep waters here and pick up a decision victory while dominating the final 2-3 rounds of this fight.
Rodriguez is facing Juian Erosa in this fight. Erosa is coming off a nice submission victory over Ricardo Ramos that proceeded back-to-back KO/TKO losses to both Fernando Padilla and Alex Caceras.
Rodriguez is 11-1 and has gone 4-0 since his UFC debut loss to Jonathan Pearce. He already has an impressive win over Raul Rosas Jr and with a win here, he should be in line for another main card fight in his next bout.
He has got 3 KO/TKO victories and another 4 by decision. Only way we see him finishing Erosa who is a solid submission artist is by KO/TKO.
Cody is coming off a loss but to arguably the best prospect in the UFC right now, Bo Nickal. It was shocking he made it into the 2nd round which could bode well for his confidence heading into this fight with Razak Alhassan.
Razak likes to strike and Cody comes from a wrestling background. If Cody can get the necessary takedowns and do a bit of damage on the ground, he could pull off a sneaky decision victory here.
He will need to avoid the early onslaught by Razak in this one as he has won 11 of his 12 fights in the 1st round with 5 of his 6 losses coming after the 1st. Survive the 1st and Cody will have a good shot here.
