UFC 307 is right around the corner and our fight expert is locked and loaded with 3 best bets for Saturday, October 5. Check them out here in our betting guide! Enjoy the nonstop action!
In Pereira’s 9 UFC fights, only 3 have gone into the 3rd round. Bruno Silva, Izzy, and Blachowicz are the only 3 to get passed the 2nd round on him. It is highly likely that he KO’s Rountree but we have a weird feeling that Rountree is going to be ultra cautious in this fight.
If he tries to blitz Pereira early, he is going to get clipped and end up face down on the mat. We like him to try to extend this fight and use his quickness to frustrate Pereira early. However, that will likely still hav him down 2 rounds early and when forced to try to get in tight to strike, he will be finished.
The value here is why we are making the play. Don’t hesitate to toss Periera into your parlays but his odds on the money line or by finish are just not worth a straight bet.
Dolidze looked good in his unanimous decision over Anthony Smith in his last fight. The win allowed him to avoid a 3-loss streak and brought his overall record to 13-3.
He faces the unorthodox style of Kevin Holland in this matchup. Holland is also coming off a win that followed up 2 straight losses. He submitted Michal Oleksiejczuk back in June but will have a hard time trying to finish Dolidze who has yet to have a loss come via finish.
We believe Dolidze will need to force action to avoid Holland using his 5 inch reach advantage and just make this an ugly fight to score the win.
The bad blood between Pennington and Pena has been well documented from their initial friendship in the ultimate fighter series until now. The value here we can get on a fight that has 2 fighters with the ability to get submission victories seems appealing to us.
With the bad blood boiling over here, if one can get top control, look for them to unleash strikes that will either end it or gas themselves out and be prey to a finish of their own.
Jose Aldo (+120)
Kayla Harrison (-850)
Stephen Thompson (+175)
Ihor Potieria (+315)
Tecia Pennington (-175)
Court McGee (+175)
