If you’re a college football fan, this is the most exciting time of year for you. Bowl season is rapidly approaching, and teams are making their final pushes to be one of the first teams in the inaugural 12-team playoff.
Bowl participants will be announced this Sunday, and we will finally find out who will make the big dance, making this weekend one to remember.
Before these participants are announced, there are a lot of important games going on, including all of the major conference championships. We’ve put together our favorite player props from each game, so stay tuned for all of the exciting plays!
We’re going to break down the Big 10 Championship below. Let’s get into our favorite Underdog props for this game between Penn State and Oregon!
Drew Allar OVER 200.5 Passing Yards
We waffled back and forth before settling on taking the over on Drew Allar’s passing yardage line. Oregon has a fantastic defense against the pass, which is why we were hesitant, but 201 yards isn’t a high bar for him to achieve in this one. There have only been four games this season where he’s had less than 200 yards, and he’ll need to do everything possible to keep the Nittany Lions in this game. Oregon is a tough opponent, but we expect Allar and Penn State to hang tough, another reason why we’re taking his over.
Dillon Gabriel UNDER 236.5 Passing Yards
While we are confident in Allar to hit his line, we’re not so sure about Dillon Gabriel’s passing yardage prop. Penn State’s passing defense is lethal, and Gabriel has struggled the past few weeks, putting up duds against Washington, Wisconsin, and Maryland. These have been his only real “duds” of the year, but for whatever reason, we think he’s going to have another off week, so we’ll take his under. If he proves us wrong, so be it, but we skeptical against these Nittany Lions.
Nicholas Singleton OVER 25.5 Receiving Yards
While Nicholas Singleton is a running back who provides great value on the ground for Penn State, he’s also a fantastic pass-catcher who can be a safety value for Drew Allar. As we mentioned earlier, Allar will need to pull out all the stops to help Penn State beat Oregon, and Singleton could be a big part of their game plan to draw attention away from their pass-catchers.
He averages 8.8 yards per reception on the year, and if he has a few catches in this game, 26 receiving yards shouldn’t be a problem at all to make happen.
