Florida vs. Houston Betting Preview: 3 Player Props and Predictions for April 7
The Men’s Basketball Championship game is officially set! After an utter collapse in the waning minutes of the Final Four, Duke fell to Houston, which is taking on Florida in the championship.
Both teams have worked hard to get here, and we’re excited for this matchup, which should certainly provide a lot of entertainment for fans across the country. Florida is a slight 1.5-point favorite, effectively making this game a pick-em.
With that in mind, we’ve put our favorite player props together from the action, hoping to sweep the final meaningful player props from the action. Head on over to Underdog with us and get some plays in for tonight!
L.J. Cryer (Houston) OVER 16.5 Points
This might be our favorite play from tonight’s action. L.J. Cryer has, for the most part, been the heart and soul of Houston’s roster all season, one of the best players in the country for the past three seasons. Fans have gotten a lot of exposure to Cryer in the Tournament during his tenure with Houston, as they’ve been treated to some fantastic performances to date.
We expect him to deliver another great game tonight against Florida, easily scoring over 20. Cryer was a man on a mission against Duke in the Final Four, scoring 26 points on a night when he shot 57.1% from the floor, which included six three-pointers.
Houston certainly has their work cut out for it tonight, but if Cryer scores as much as we’re projecting, they have a good chance of winning in a back-and-forth contest.
Walter Clayton Jr. (Florida) OVER 2.5 Three-Pointers Made
We took the over on this line in the Final Four, and Clayton made this a sweat-free cash, hitting five of eight threes against Auburn. Clayton has been one of the most electrifying players in the Tournament thus far, perhaps the most entertaining besides Cooper Flagg, giving fans a distinct rooting interest in tonight’s contest.
We expect Clayton’s Curry-esque shooting to continue tonight, hitting at least three from beyond the arc and making this an easy hit!
Alex Condon (Florida) UNDER 9.5 Points
There’s no reason for us to have faith in Alex Condon’s scoring numbers tonight, especially since he only had one point in the Final Four against Auburn. Condon is a fantastic rebounder and defender for Florida, a big part of their team makeup, and they just don’t need him to score much, if at all, to have an impact.
Players like Clayton and Alijah Martin tend to take over in the scoring column, which is why we’re taking the under on Condon’s points line for the second straight game.
