Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Rankings for Week 2

Need help setting your fantasy football lineup for Week 2 of the NFL season? Our waiver wire rankings can help! Check them out here! Good luck!

1. Isaiah Likely (BAL)

It was a bad week if you were a Tight End not named Isaiah Likely. The 3rd-year vertical threat TE exploded for a career-best 26.10 fantasy points in PPR formats and could have eclipsed the 30-point mark if his last-second Touchdown had counted.

Likely is now a top three target for Lamar Jackson, who will have to throw the ball in the coming weeks against Vegas, Dallas, Buffalo, and Cincy. Only playing 66% of snaps against Kansas City in the opener, expect Likely to now get moved around the offense and given opportunities to make plays after the catch.

2. Alexander Mattison (LV)

Alexander Mattison was one of the few bright spots for the Raiders who might not have a legit RB1 like they thought they had when Josh Jacobs was let go. Zamir White ran the rock 13 times for less than 4 YPC, while Mattison dominated the RB room through the air.

Not only did he catch 4 of 6 targets for 43 yards and a score, but he also out snapped White 60% to 38%. While this was mostly due to a positive game script for the receiving back, Vegas is going to be down more often than not this season, giving the edge to Mattison.

3. Greg Dortch (ARI)

If you aren’t on the Greg Dortch train already, get into the Dortcher Chamber. When Dortch plays, he delivers. Dating back to 2022, when the Cards wideout plays in 80% or more of snaps, he’s eclipsed the 7-target mark each time.

Kyler is a big fan of Arizona’s WR2/3 in certain situations and even relied on him during a few 3rd downs against Buffalo. Moving forward, the Rams, Detroit, and Washington will be three games with plenty of scoring – something that should warrant a Dortch pickup.

4. Alec Pierce (IND)

It wasn’t Jonathan Taylor, nor Michael Pittman, nor AD Mitchell that made the big week 1 impact for Indy. It was 3rd year wideout Alec Pierce who now sits in the top 10 in WR rankings heading into MNF.

Pierce played in 84% of snaps in the Colts tough loss to Houston which mirrored his percentage last season. The difference? A few long balls caught to boost production from perfect Anthony Richardson placements.

With Josh Downs out and the Colts facing some potential positive game scripts against Green Bay and Chicago in the coming weeks, Pierce isn’t the best option on the waivers but one to keep your eye on should WR depth be an issue.

5. Tank Bigsby (JAC)

This Jacksonville backfield battle just got a little more interesting. Although Travis Etienne is the lead rusher for this team, a fumble at the goal line seemed to stun the star RB enough for Bigsby to outproduce him throughout the entirety of the game.

Tank’s career high 12 rush attempts saw him go for 73 yards while looking fantastic on the ground. If you have Etienne or need RB depth, Bigsby looks to be the best waiver wire RB next to Mattison, who’s more of a pass catching threat.
