The College Football season is back and better than ever before! Week 0 and Week 1 certainly provided a fair amount of drama and excitement, and we’re excited to see what Week 2 holds for us.
There are a few marquee matchups on the schedule, including a highly-regarded game between Michigan and Texas, and a battle between Tennessee and NC State. With both of these games in mind, along with several others on the slate, we’ve come up with a significant number of our favorite player props from Underdog. Take a look at our top picks, hoping we sweep the board this weekend.
It turns out that Quinn Ewers is the quarterback many expected him to be. Ewers looked fantastic in his first game last week against Colorado State, and while Michigan is a much better opponent, we still think he’ll have a big game this week.
Ewers has some talented pass-catchers surrounding him in this offense, and while Michigan provides a tough test, he should break through. Look for Ewers to throw for closer to 300 yards this week than 200, hitting the over on his line with ease.
Carson Beck had a relatively pedestrian game in Week 1 against Clemson. He threw for two touchdowns and 278 yards, mostly because the team didn’t require him to have a massive game.
They should have even less need for a big stat line from him this week, as Georgia takes on Tennessee Tech. We anticipate Georgia to run the ball a lot, causing Beck to go under on his passing yardage line.
Tennessee had an easy matchup with Chattanooga last week, putting up 69 points in an absolute rout. They have a tougher opponent this weekend at NC State, but their elite offense should prevail.
Nico Iamaleava could be a Heisman contender this year if he plays his cards right, and he’ll need to keep his foot on the gas in this one. Look for Iamaleava to put together another big performance, achieving at least 256 passing yards against NC State.
