Boston College vs Florida State Betting Preview

We have Monday Night Football to look forward to next week!

Okay, so it’s college football, but it’s being played on Monday night, nonetheless. The schedule-makers did fans a favor for Labor Day this year, as there will be a hard-nosed battle between Boston College and Florida State. Florida State might be a heavy favorite in this one, but we still think it will be a great game, if for nothing else than because it’s on Labor Day!

Florida State enters this matchup as a 21.5 point favorite with the total sitting at 51.5 points.

As we have done with other marquee matchups from this weekend, we have taken a deep dive into the lines for this game. Take a look at our picks below, which we hope will make the game that much more interesting!

Boston College +21.5  (-115)

It would be foolish of us to think Boston College will win this game. Florida State is ranked, and Boston College, of course, is a heavy underdog. But, that doesn’t mean that this game will be an utter blowout. In fact, you can go to ESPN Bet and take BC at +21.5, meaning that, even if they lose by three touchdowns, you can still win your bet. We like the value here that other books aren’t providing, and we hope to be pleasantly surprised by BC’s performance.

UNDER 51.5 Total Points (-110)

While we’re relatively confident that Boston College can stay in this game, we also know how dominant Florida State’s defense was last season. They played exceptionally well against even the best of opponents, which is the main reason we’re taking the under here. Boston College might have a tough time getting the ball moving in the first half, limiting their potential for points. Let’s take advantage of the few points bump that ESPN Bet is giving us here and hit big!

Let’s close week 1 out strong and start this season out with some winners. Best of luck with all of your college football week 1 action!
