Bears at Packers: Our Best Bet for Sunday Night Football

The last game on Sunday’s NFL board is one of the sport’s most historic rivalries. The Chicago Bears will travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. Can the Bears pull off another surprising upset or will Aaron Rodgers continue to “own” the Bears?

The point spread is rather hefty, which may leave sports bettors wondering if there is any value in betting it. Check out our thoughts below as well as our best bet for Bears at Packers. Best of luck.

Week 1 Recap For Both Teams

The Bears made a ferocious comeback last week against the visiting 49ers. Despite only gaining 204 total yards and going 5 of 14 on third down, the Bears made the most of their trips to the red zone.

They also kept from shooting themselves in the foot with only 3 penalties for 24 total yards. They forced 2 turnovers from the 49ers and stopped them on both of their 4th down tries. Justin Fields was just 8 of 17 for 121 yards and 2 scores with 1 interception.

The Packers looked like a shell of their former selves in their week 1 matchup against the rival Vikings. They fell into a 17-0 hole after the 1st half and really never looked back as Minnesota finished them off 23-7.

Rodgers was sacked 4 times, threw 2 interceptions, and failed to get over the 200-yard mark. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon both picked up a little over 40 yards on the ground.

Best Bet: Packers -10 (DraftKings)

We expect Rodgers to turn things around here at home against a Bears team that is simply not good. They stole their win last week against the Niners but if the offense performs the same way, this Packers team will take full advantage.

Despite the lone touchdown, the Packers still accumulated over 330 total yards and 21 first downs. This week, they will put the hurt on the Bears and take advantage of their red zone trips. Look for Aaron Rodgers to get Randall Cobb and Sammy Watkins more involved in this game.

Also, expect better performances from both AJ Dillion and Aaron Jones. The Bears gave up 176 yards rushing to the Niners last week, which will spell trouble in this game. Green Bay covers this number with ease!

Key Trends for Vikings at Packers

  • Green Bay is 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games following a straight-up loss.
  • Green Bay is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games.
  • Chicago is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC North.
  • Chicago is 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games as an underdog.
