Happy Tuesday, all! It’s the last week of the MLB season, and we couldn’t be more excited for tonight’s action. The American League Wild Card race is one of the most exciting in recent history, and the National League has room for chaos as well.
With all 30 teams in the league playing games today, it’s a great day to check out Underdog’s player props. They have props for every team, and while we believe there’s a lot of value on the slate, we’ve made the tough decision to come up with our three favorite plays on the day. Without further fanfare, let’s get into it!
The Kansas City Royals are in a suboptimal situation. They are winless in their last seven games and are in desperation mode trying to hold onto one of the last wild card spots.
Thankfully, they play the Washington Nationals tonight, a team that’s firmly out of the playoff race. If there’s any team to get back in the win column against, it’s the Nationals. Look for the Royals to not only win tonight’s game but for Bobby Witt Jr. to have an explosive performance.
He’s one of the best hitters in baseball, an instrumental part in making this team into the juggernaut they’ve looked like, at times. We believe he’ll lead the charge for Kansas City’s team tonight, achieving at least 3 total hits, runs, and RBI.
The New York Yankees currently hold a four-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East. One might assume that this division race is over, but with a series against each other, the Orioles could overtake them with a sweep.
However, we don’t think Aaron Judge is going to stand for that. Look for Judge to have a monster performance in this one, easily achieving 2+ bases. He’s put the team on his back before and should have no problem doing that today too.
Framber Valdez is a certified beast. He’s one of the best pitchers in the league, and he’s not afraid to shove against any opponent. The Houston Astros take on the Seattle Mariners tonight, a matchup that might seem scary to some.
However, Valdez hasn’t allowed more than three runs in a game since August 24th, which was the first time he did that in over a month. He should shut down the Mariners tonight, limiting them to less than three runs.
