Hello everyone, and welcome to the start of another great week of NFL action! It’s crazy that we’re already in Week 8. There have been some great Thursday Night Football games to this point, and there have been a few forgettable matchups, to say the least.
This week’s contest should be more entertaining than last week’s snoozefest, as the Los Angeles Rams are taking on the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are coming off their first loss of the season, and the Rams are on the heels of a win over the Las Vegas Raiders. It might seem like it’s too late for the Rams to get to the playoffs at this point, but we’ll have to see how this game shakes out. It could be very high-scoring, which typically bodes well for player props.
Speaking of player props, we logged into Underdog to check out what they had going on for this slate. Without further ado, let’s get into our favorites from this game that’s expected to be met with some fireworks!
There was a narrative surrounding Justin Jefferson last week heading into the Minnesota Vikings’ clash with the Detroit Lions. He was on quite the run with 100+ yard games, but he fell short, putting up a relatively pedestrian day by his standards.
Jefferson has a chance to put up a massive game against the Rams, who just let rookie Bowers go for over 90 yards against them. A player like Jefferson isn’t going to be stifled two weeks in a row, and we’re expecting a major bounce back out of him.
Look for Jefferson to easily eclipse 84 yards in this one, perhaps even hitting the century mark when all is said and done.
The Rams have had some of the worst injury luck in the NFL this season. Their top two pass-catchers have missed significant time, and several of their other best players have been limited at one point or another.
Kyren Williams has been one of the steadiest players on the roster this year, especially on the offensive side of the ball. While this might point to us taking the over on his rushing yards, the Vikings have one of the best defenses in the league.
This team only allows 80 rushing yards per game, a sign that they might shut down Williams pretty easily. Look for him to have one of his worst games of the year against the Vikings, resulting in a sub-74-yard outing.
We’re pretty confident that the Vikings are going to win this game, which could result in some garbage-time minutes near the end.
Ty Chandler tends to get plenty of work in those moments, so we wouldn’t be surprised if be had at least 20 yards in this game, if not closer to 40.
