US Open Betting Preview: Our 3 Best Bets for Thursday, June 13

The PGA Tour heads to the No. 2 course at Pinehurst for the 2024 US Open this week. Some of the top players in the world will be in action, as the tournament tees off on Thursday, June 13. Can anyone challenge Scottie Scheffler?

Can you believe that we’ve already reached the third major of the PGA Tour season? Get ready to make some profit with our 3 best bets for the 2024 US Open! Best of luck with all of your selections and enjoy the golf!

Sam Burns (+100) OVER Sepp Straka

Sam Burns was 10th at the RBC before finishing tied for 15th at the Memorial last weekend. He is 23rd on Tour in strokes gained and inside the Top 50 in strokes gained in tournaments where the average round was over par, which is more than likely to be the case this week at Pinehurst.

He has continued to make the cut and finish between the Top 30 and 40 at the US Open over his 3 starts. He faces Sepp, who missed the cut at the last major tournament.

However, he has picked up back-to-back 5th-place finishes at the Schwab and the Memorial. His driving distance is going to cost him this week. He is just 150th with an average of just 290.9 off the tee. Burns will continue his consistent play on difficult courses.

Tyrrell Hatton (-120) OVER Alex Noren

Hatton has only missed the cut once over his last 5 starts at the US Open. He is also 10th in strokes gained at tournaments with an average round over par. He seems to play better when the course difficulty rises.

Noren finished +4 at the Memorial and missed the cut at the RBC. Like Straka, Noren has had issues off the tee and has not shortened many holes, which will make Pinehurst tougher to navigate. Give us the LIV player here over the Tour pro.

Top 30 Finish: Hideki Matsuyama (-110)

Like DJ, Matsuyama competed in 2014 and finished 35th. Over the last 5 years, he has been inside the Top 30 in 4 of those 5 starts.

In 6 of his last 8 starts this season, Hideki has been inside the Top 30 with the only 2 being his 38th finish at the Masters and his 35th finish at the PGA. We have faith that he will get back inside the Top 30 at the major level here.
