Umar is facing Cory Sandhagen who will be throwing his unorthodox style at him all night. Cory has never been KO’d and has only been submitted once in his 21-fight career. That came from Aljamain Sterling back in 2020.
We do not expect Cory to engage much in the grappling and instead try to keep his distance and strike with Umar. This could be a sneaky close fight if that is what shakes out but we like Umar to get the decision in the end.
Deiveson has looked great since his Dr stoppage loss to Moreno back in early 2023. In fact, if you throw that out and the 1st loss to Moreno in which he looked sick, Deiveson would still be at the top of the division.
He was strong against Font and even better when he submitted Garbrandt. Chito, on the other hand, has not lived up to the potential and has fallen to both fighters in which he was leveling up in terms of competition.
Cory Sandhagen won a split that could have been unanimous and O’Malley pieced him up. Here, Deiveson will have an advantage in the grappling/wrestling department. We like him to win and likely by decision, but that only lowers his price to -110.
Tony may be fighting the final fight of his career here. He has now lost 7 straight, dating back to his title shot against Gaethje in 2020. However, Chiesa has not been sharp recently.
He has lost 3 straight with 2 coming via submission to Luque and Holland. He did grind out a tough one, although it was a loss to Sean Brady. The value we are getting here though makes this one worthy of a small shot in hopes that Ferguson pulls one off and uses what he saw in the Luque and Holland fights.
Michal Oleksiejcuk (+200)
Mackenzie Dern (-120)
Jai Herbert (-140)
Denis Tiuliulin (+180)
