The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers are the two teams on bye, leaving fans of those teams to look elsewhere on Sunday. Luckily for them, we’ve got a great Sunday slate this week.
There are several intra-divisional games this weekend, including a matchup between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams, and the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars.
No matter how you slice it, this week should be another opportunity for contending teams to prove they belong, as well as a chance for teams to solidify their positioning for the Caleb Williams sweepstakes.
With such an awesome slate taking place, we’ve looked at all of the player props and put together our top three plays from this weekend. All of these plays can be found on Underdog.
This is our favorite play of the weekend, by far. DJ Moore is coming off a monster game, scoring three touchdowns and gaining well over 200 receiving yards.
While we’re not necessarily expecting him to achieve similar numbers to this career game, getting over 69 yards against the Vikings’ defense is not exactly a tall task.
The Vikings have allowed at least one receiver to get over 69 yards in three games this season. This included a 131-yard day from DeVonta Smith and a 215-yard day from Keenan Allen.
Their secondary is leaky, and with Justin Jefferson sidelined for the next several weeks, the wind has been taken out of the Vikings’ sails. Look for Moore to have another big week, resulting in at least 69 receiving yards in this one.
Garrett Wilson hasn’t scored a touchdown in three weeks. While we’re not necessarily believers that players are “due” for touchdowns, a player of Wilson’s caliber needs to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.
The New York Jets are facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles this week, a game that could get out of hand early. If the Jets get behind, Zach Wilson will be forced to be in a negative game script, needing to throw the ball a lot.
Enter Garrett Wilson. Wilson is a reliable threat all over the field, especially in the red zone. If the Jets can make it down there, look for Wilson to see a bunch of targets, likely catching one for a touchdown.
Plus, Underdog is offering a 2x on this prop, a fantastic parlay piece for you to put some extra money in your pockets.
C.J. Stroud has started the 2023 NFL Season better than anybody expected. He is among the league leaders in passing yards and has put himself firmly in the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation.
Now, he hasn’t thrown for less than 241 yards in a game this season, which might make some people question this line of 240.5 passing yards. However, the New Orleans Saints have a legitimate defense.
They’re a top-five unit at the moment and have only let two quarterbacks throw for more than 241 yards against them this season. While we’re expecting Stroud to get close to this line, we’re ultimately taking the under on his passing yards this week.
