NFL Odds and Predictions for Week 6: Colts Face Titans

Through five weeks, the NFL schedule has been in parts expected – here’s looking at you, undefeated Kansas City Chiefs – and parts unexpected (see the undefeated Minnesota Vikings).

Both teams take a beat this week. Will this week’s games provide clarity as to which team is the second-best squad in their respective divisions? We’ll find out starting on Thursday night when a battle for NFC West supremacy kicks off Week 6.

San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) at Seattle Seahawks Thursday 8:15 p.m.

The San Francisco 49ers (2-3) have been ravaged by injuries thus far, but a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks (3-2) will give the winner of this game an edge. The winner will be trailing Arizona if the Cardinals earn a victory on Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Chicago Bears (-1.5) Sunday 9:30 a.m.

Two teams with high hopes collide in Chicago as the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4) face the Bears (3-2). Jacksonville finally snapped their four-game losing streak while Chicago has a two-game win streak with No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams helming the offense.

Washington Commanders at Baltimore Ravens (-6.5) Sunday 1 p.m.

This game is significantly more important than originally thought possible. The Washington Commanders (4-1) sit atop the NFC East standings while the Baltimore Ravens (3-2) are tied with Pittsburgh atop the AFC North. Both teams enter the game riding winning streaks after losing their opening game(s).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5) at New Orleans Saints Sunday 1 p.m.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) are fighting to stay atop the NFC South when they travel to New Orleans to face the Saints (2-3). Tampa Bay has won two straight while the Saints have lost three straight heading into Sunday.

Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles (-8.5) Sunday 1 p.m.

The Cleveland Browns (1-4) will look to end their three-game losing streak when the AFC North squad travels to Philadelphia to face the Eagles (2-2). Philadelphia was able to heal some of their wounds and looks to have multiple players back after their bye week.

Indianapolis Colts (-1.5) at Tennessee Titans Sunday 1 p.m.

The Indianapolis Colts (2-3) may have a QB controversy on their hands after backup Joe Flacco nearly led the AFC South squad to a victory on Sunday. Will he be helming the offense again against the rival Tennessee Titans (1-3), who enter the game off their bye week?

Houston Texans (-7) at New England Patriots Sunday 1 p.m.

A tale of two teams heading in opposite directions will come to life Sunday when the Houston Texans (4-1) travel north to face the New England Patriots (1-4). Houston has won two straight while the Patriots have lost every game since their season opener.

Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers (-5.5) Sunday 1 p.m.

Two teams in need of a win to stay in their respective division races collide when the Arizona Cardinals (2-3) travel north to face the Green Bay Packers (3-2). Every team in the NFC North currently has a winning record while Arizona owns two divisional wins already this season.

Los Angeles Chargers (-3) at Denver Broncos Sunday 4:05 p.m.

The Los Angeles Chargers (2-2) will return from a bye week to face the Denver Broncos (3-2) in an important divisional matchup. While the Chiefs sit atop the AFC West standings, Denver could make this race interesting with a win.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) at Las Vegas Raiders Sunday 4:05 p.m.

After starting a surprising 3-0, the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) have now dropped two straight contests. Their task this week is to travel west to face the Las Vegas Raiders (2-3) that lacks an identity on offense.

Atlanta Falcons (-6.5) at Carolina Panthers Sunday 4:25 p.m.

The Atlanta Falcons (3-2) are riding a two-game win streak and head north to face the NFC South rival Carolina Panthers (1-4). The Panthers are expected to start Bryce Young at some point this season, but veteran Andy Dalton should still be at the helm for Sunday’s game.

Detroit Lions (-3) at Dallas Cowboys Sunday 4:25 p.m.

The Detroit Lions (3-1) head south to face the Dallas Cowboys (3-2) in the prime matchup on Sunday afternoon. The Lions rested during their bye week while Dallas manufactured a Monday morning comeback against Pittsburgh in last week’s Sunday Night matchup.

Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) at New York Giants Sunday 8:20 p.m.

The Sunday Night Football primetime game features the Cincinnati Bengals (1-4) against the New York Giants (2-3). Cincinnati’s offense is revving up while the Giants have won two of their past three games.

Buffalo Bills (-2.5) at New York Jets Monday 8:15 p.m.

The Monday Night primetime game features the Buffalo Bills (3-2) at the New York Jets (2-3). Both teams are looking to snap two-game losing streaks, and the Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday after their disappointing start.

Bye Week: Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings
