Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to you all! We’re certainly thankful for a lot of things, including this week’s slate. Let’s dive in!

QUARTERBACK: Kirk Cousins ($6,300)

Kirk Cousins has proved his doubters wrong this season. Forget the narrative that Cousins isn’t a good player in primetime or that he often loses close games.

Under Cousins, the Minnesota Vikings are 11-3 on the season and will look to make a splash in the playoffs. This week, Cousins looks to build on another strong performance last week. Stacking Cousins with Osborn should be a lethal combination this week.

RB: Alvin Kamara ($6,800) & Rhamondre Stevenson ($7,100)

Alvin Kamara hasn’t quite been the “set it and forget it” type of running back that we’ve seen in years past. He’s only averaging 14.9 points per game this season, including just 9 points per game in the last three games.

However, this week, Kamara and the New Orleans Saints are matched up with the Cleveland Browns, who allow the third-most points to opposing backs. Look for Kamara to bounce back in impressive fashion this week.

Rhamondre Stevenson has made impressive strides in his sophomore campaign. In the past three full games that he has played, Stevenson has averaged 20.6 points.

Stevenson and the New England Patriots play the Cincinnati Bengals this week, who allow 21.3 points per game to running backs and let up over 80 rushing yards per game.

WR: KJ Osborn ($4,500), Terry McLaurin ($6,200), DeVonta Smith ($6,600)

KJ Osborn has become a great number three wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings. In his last two games, Osborn has been the recipient of 21 total targets and has averaged over 20 fantasy points per game.

While we’re certainly not projecting another 34.7-point week for Osborn, he will have ample opportunity against the New York Giants, whose focus will likely be on Justin Jefferson. Look for Osborn to be a great budget receiver this week.

Terry McLaurin has been a very boom-bust player this season. He has had a few performances of 20-plus points (27.5, 23.8) but has also put up a few duds (3.5, 8.2, 9.3).

However, his consistency is what we’re after here. He’s averaging 14.4 points per game on the season. This scoring floor with boom upside is the perfect combination against the San Francisco 49ers this week, who are a tough defense.

Coming into the 2022 season, much was unknown about what Smith’s role would look like in the Philadelphia Eagles defense, especially considering that they recently traded for AJ Brown.

However, he is having a great season, averaging 14.2 points per game. Similarly to McLaurin, Smith has boom upside this week against the Dallas Cowboys while providing a safe floor to your DFS lineup.

TIGHT END: Chig Okonkwo ($3,500)

Okonkwo has found a home on the Tennessee Titans. In the past three weeks, he has seen a combined 16 targets, garnering 14 receptions, and has averaged 13.1 fantasy points per game in the process.

With the absence of wide receiver Treylon Burks, Okonkwo should thrive again this week against the Houston Texans, who allow 12.3 points per game to opposing tight ends.

FLEX: Donovan Peoples-Jones ($5,100)

Ever since Deshaun Watson took over as the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback, Peoples-Jones has seen his role increase mightily. In the past three games, he has scored 13.1, 22.4, and 13.4 fantasy points, respectively.

Watson has established rapport with Peoples-Jones, which should continue this week against the New Orleans Saints.

DEFENSE: San Francisco 49ers ($3,900)

The San Francisco 49ers are the NFL’s best defense. They’re allowing just 15 points per game on the season and have improved that number to just 12.3 points in their last three contests.

They are taking on the Washington Commanders this week, who have only averaged 17 points in their last three games. The 49ers should have a field day against the Commanders, which is why they’re the second-most expensive defense on the slate. It’s wise to pay up for them this week.
