The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders face off tomorrow in the 2025 NFC Championship Game, with a Super Bowl berth on the line for each team.
The Eagles, who finished the regular season at a solid 14-3, are coming off a gritty 28-22 win over the Rams. Meanwhile, the Commanders absolutely stunned the #1 seed Lions with a 45-31 upset. Both teams are coming in with great storylines and plenty of betting opportunities we think you’re going to like.
It’s no surprise to us that the Eagles are 6-point favorites, with the over/under set at a pretty high 47.5 points.

The Eagles are currently -6 favorites on their home turf, where they’ve been nothing less than dominant all season. THey’ve posted a 10-1 record at home which includes the playoffs.
Their moneyline odds sit at -293 which is where we’d expect this line to fall. The Commanders are priced as +236 underdogs, which if you believe there will be an upset, offers some solid value as well.
The over/under is set at 47.5 points, which feels about right given both teams’ recent offensive performances. Washington, who is undoubtedly firing on all cylinders, has averaged 41 points over its last 2 playoff games, while Philadelphia is led by a balanced attack that can find and take advantage of weaknesses on the ground or through the air.
Either way, it’s going to be a great NFC Championship game.
The Eagles have been on a roll all season long, winning 14 of their last 15 games — including 4 straight.
Their offense is firing on all cylinders, thanks in large part to Saquon Barkley, who has been nearly unstoppable not just this postseason, but all throughout the regular season. In both playoff games, Barkley has racked up a whopping 324 rushing yards and 2 TDs while averaging 6.4 yards per carry. Those are monstrous numbers. Against the Rams in the Divisional Round, he crushed their defense for 205 yards on 26 carries. This simply showcased his ability to take over games when they needed him to.
Tight end Dallas Goedert also gives Philadelphia a bit of an edge in the passing game. Goedert has been a reliable target for QB Jalen Hurts, with 103 receiving yards and a touchdown this postseason. His ability to move the chains and generate WR-type yards after the catch will be crucial against a Washington defense that has struggled to contain explosive plays.
Philadelphia’s defense is another big reason to place your trust in them.
They’ve been extremely strong at home, where they’ve allowed just 19 points per game this season, one of the best in the NFL. They’ll be focused on containing Washington rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels by forcing him into uncomfortable situations and taking advantage of mistakes.
Washington comes into this game as one of the hottest teams in the league. They’re riding a 7-game winning streak despite some injuries and even facing some extremely tough opponents.
Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has been a revelation for the team — especially in the playoffs. Over the 2 postseason games so far, Daniels has thrown for an incredible 567 yards and 4 touchdowns all without throwing a single interception. On top of that, he did it all while completing over 70% of his passes. What we love the most about this young QB is he’s also a threat with his legs, as evidenced by his 51 rushing yards in the win over Detroit. He’s like an extra RB defenses have to contain.
Wide receiver Terry McLaurin is another key weapon for the Commanders. McLaurin has been Daniels’ #1 target all year long as he notched 1,096 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns during the regular season. He was clutch in the Divisional Round game as he caught 4 passes for 87 yards and even a touchdown. If McLaurin can stretch the field like he has been doing and force the Eagles to account for him, it could easily open up the run game and underneath routes for Daniels.
While Washington’s defense has been somewhat inconsistent, they’ve shown a knack for creating turnovers when they needed them the most. They’ll need to capitalize on any mistakes from the Eagles to keep this NFC Championship game within reach.
We think this game will likely come down to which team can impose its will on the other.
The Eagles have the advantage in experience, talent, and, of course, their home-field dominance.
While Washington’s Jayden Daniels has been absolutely outstanding, it’s hard to see the rookie quarterback overcoming the Eagles’ ferocious defense and the pressure of playing at Lincoln Financial Field in the freezing cold. Philadelphia’s balanced offense, led by Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, should have no problem finding success controlling the game’s tempo.
Our best bet is to take the Eagles to cover the -6 spread. Sure, it’s a full TD, but the Eagles have proven they can rise to the occasion, especially at home, and how they’ve been doing lately tells us they’ll keep Washington at arm’s length.
The Commanders’ Cinderella run ends here.
