Can Mitchell Saxen help St. Mary's get past Vanderbilt on Friday night?
March Madness has begun, and I am here to bring you two more winners to line your pockets for the weekend! As most should know, College Basketball is the toughest sport to wager on right now.
All of the books have their attention on College Basketball and have been the last few months. Lines are sharp, so we must be strategic in the positions we take! Good luck with your bets the rest of this weekend!
The Aggies should know what they are up against, and I trust Buzz Williams to have his team ready to not mess around with this team. Yale knocked out #4 Auburn last season so A&M should be ready. Outside of that win by Yale, they lost their previous March Madness games by 28, 9, & 22 points.
Obviously, A&M will need to find a way to score consistently as I do think their offense will cause them to lose at some point in this tourney, but their defense and overall size and strength should be able to hold and wear down this Yale team.
A&M ranks #1 in offensive rebounds in the country which should be a big factor for 2nd chance points. I do think their defense can slow Yale enough to give them a gap. My main likes them by -9.5, and I do think they can find an 8-point to double-digit victory!
Saint Mary’s, as a #5 seed in last year’s tournament was upset by Grand Canyon. Both teams I am wagering on for this article should have heightened awareness. Saint Mary’s was 9-1 on the road this season, while Vanderbilt was just 3-7.
While Vanderbilt did play in the SEC, it showed their road woes even worse the last 2 games of regular season and their tourney game against Texas where they lost by 7. St Marys would beat Texas by 5 or more, in my opinion.
St Marys locks down on defense ranking 5th in the country in points allowed at 61 while Vandy allows a cool 75, a 15 point difference. All 12 loses for Vandy were by more than 5 points and 26 of Saint Mary’s 28 wins came by at least 4 points this season, winning 93% of their games this year by 4
Best Bets:
1.5% Texas A&M -6 (-136)
2% St. Mary’s -3.5 (-110)
