Week 7 of the NFL season concludes with an intriguing matchup on Monday Night Football. The San Francisco 49ers will head north to take on the Minnesota Vikings.
The Niners survived a couple of scares this week, as they received positive injury news for both Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel.
Which team has the upper hand? Check out our best bets for 49ers at Vikings right here. Good luck!
Last week the Niners looked mediocre for the 1st time all season. Brock Purdy was terrible and completed only 44.4% of his passes for 125 yards and 1 touchdown to match his 1 interception.
Christian McCaffery was held to 43 yards on the ground and just 3 catches for 9 yards. Leading 17-13 with under 4 minutes to play, PJ Walker led the Browns to a field goal before the defense forced a quick 3 and out.
Walker and the Browns then took the ball from their 26-yard line and drove down to give Dustin Hopkins the chance to win it with a 29-yard field goal and he came through. The Niners are still the 2nd highest-scoring team in the league at 30.7ppg. and 1st in points allowed at 14.5ppg.
The Vikings are coming off a 19-13 victory over the Chicago Bears on the road for just their 2nd win on the season. They have lost Justin Jefferson, arguably the top WR in the league, to injury for the foreseeable future and need Jordan Addison and KJ Osbourn to step up in his absence.
Overall, this Vikings team is a middle-of-the-road statistical team in the league except for being 2nd in passing yards per game (279.8). Kirk Cousins has struggled in every night start he has had in the league.
A night game and one without his top wideout is not a recipe for success for Kirk Cousin and the Vikings. We expect the Niners to bounce back nicely here against a team that had almost no running attack.
The lack of a run game for the Vikings will allow the stout Niners’ defense to key on Cousins and prevent the Vikings’ offense from ever getting comfortable. The heavy road favorites here are going to bounce back here in Minnesota and pick up a double-digit victory.

With the best defense in the league and coming off a bad loss, this Niners team is going to be hungry to make a statement. While we do not recommend taking this for a full unit, it is worth a small sprinkle.
