Eagles at Buccaneers – Live Odds, Best Bets, & Player Props

NFL Wildcard Weekend concludes with a polarizing Monday Night Football matchup between the Eagles and Buccaneers. Can Philly put their recent struggles behind them and get back on track? Or, will Baker Mayfield and the Bucs continue their solid play?

Check out our betting preview for Eagles at Buccaneers below! We’ll go over the live odds, best bets, and some player props. Best of luck with all of your bets.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It has been a tale of 2 seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles. After an incredible 10-1 start, they completely fell apart down the stretch, losing 5 of their last 6. There may not be a colder team to ever enter the playoffs than this Eagles squad. Not only have the losses piled up, but the injuries have as well.

Devonta Smith, AJ Brown, D’Andre Swift, Reed Blankenship, and Darius Slay all carry questionable designations for this game. In addition, Jalen Hurts is dealing with a finger injury that could limit him a bit as well.

Unlike the Eagles, Tampa has had a big turnaround for the better in their season as the 2nd half went on. After suffering 6 losses in 7 games, they went on to win 5 of their last 6 games to wrap up their season and finish 9-8 and slide into the playoffs.

Rachaad White was a nice surprise as he almost doubled his yardage and scored 9 total touchdowns. Both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin exceeded the 1000-yard mark and Evans tied his 2nd best season with 13 touchdowns.

Best Bet: Bucs +3

As a noted Eagles fan, I have tried to find a way to back them in this spot. Literally, the only reason would be that everyone has written them off and that tends to be the times when teams surprise everyone.  However, their last game against the Giants seemed to show a team that had just given up on the season.

Tampa is heading in the other direction and looks to be inspired heading into the playoffs. The worst part for the Eagles has been the defense who seemingly cannot stop anyone. It is likely that Evans and Godwin will light up a secondary that is banged up and tired. Let’s take the points!

Key Trends:

  • Philly is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games.
  • Philly is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when playing as the favorite.
  • TB is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games.
  • TB is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games when playing as the underdog.
