Browns at Eagles: 3 Underdog Props We Love

Can you smell it? The NFL Season is less than a month away. Thank goodness. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been waiting all offseason for the chance to watch your favorite team in action. We’re almost there, so hold on to your hats!

While we don’t have real NFL action quite yet, the preseason at least gives us something to watch other than baseball. This is a time for players to make their final push to make a roster, showing organizations they can make a big impact on their team.

Tonight’s Thursday Night matchup is between the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles. Let’s make this game a bit more exciting and go over our favorite player props for tonight’s action! All plays can be found on Underdog.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson OVER 26.5 Rushing Yards

Dorian Thompson-Robinson burst on the scene during the Cleveland Browns’ second preseason game. He totaled 102 passing yards in that contest, impressing many across the league.

He was a highly-regarded player at UCLA. While he has an outside chance at becoming the starter in Cleveland while Deshaun Watson is in town, he’ll use the preseason to showcase his skills.

We’re expecting him to have a great game again on the ground, something that he was known for at UCLA. If he wants to show the Browns that he’s worthy of a backup role, he’ll do everything he can tonight, including rushing for at least 27 yards, which is why we’re projecting his over.

Tyrie Cleveland OVER 30.5 Receiving Yards

When you think about the Philadelphia Eagles, Tyrie Cleveland isn’t likely to be one of the players you think of. He’s currently fighting for a roster spot, and likely will be their WR5, buried on the depth chart.

This didn’t stop him from balling out in the Eagles’ first preseason game, garnering 10 targets. He was a clear favorite throughout this game, during these targets into five catches for 68 yards.

We’re expecting him to continue this success tonight, rattling off at least 31 receiving yards. The Eagles attempted 35 passing yards in their last game, and if they do that tonight, we’re confident in Cleveland’s ability to turn his targets into high yardage.

Trey Sermon UNDER 35.5 Rushing & Receiving Yards

Maybe it’s a personal vendetta, but I cannot stand Trey Sermon. I don’t like the way he runs, and there’s a reason he’s going to see some playing time in tonight’s contest.

In their first preseason game, Sermon was given nine carries, rushing for just 21 yards. If he was unable to garner north of three yards per carry last game, we’re certainly not projecting him to exceed those totals tonight.

Plus, he was only targeted twice, turning that into one catch for nine yards. We’re fading Sermon tonight, and would highly advise you to do the same.
