Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets UNDER 47

Buffalo had a letdown again in the playoffs last season. They fell to the Bengals in the divisional round and Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and company were shut down.

After finishing 3rd in the league in scoring offense, they could only manage 10 total points against those Bengals. Afterward and into the offseason, Diggs made his frustrations known often and is still unhappy with his situation in Buffalo. They added Damien Harris and Latavius Murray to help bolster the rushing game.

The Jets finished 7-10 last season but made a splash in the offseason. After having both the offensive and defensive rookie of the year, they added a veteran that is sure to make a difference with their offense in Aaron Rodgers.

Breece Hall will also be back to give the run game a boost after he was lost to injury in the preseason last year. Sauce Gardner will continue to lead the secondary that will surely be tested in this opener.

Josh Allen vs. Aaron Rodgers and Stefon Diggs vs. Garrett Wilson are going to be the focus of this matchup. That is already leading the public to take the over in this matchup. However, defenses are typically ahead of offenses in the early weeks of the NFL.

Both teams have underrated defenses and adding the newness of Rodgers in this system and the unhappiness of Stefon Diggs, we could see a lower-scoring game here. With nearly 60% of the public tickets being on the Over, we are seeing 85% of the money come in on the under.

The total has gone from the opening number of 48 all the way down to 46.5 in some shops. We think this will be a close game overall but on the lower-scoring side.

Key Trends for Monday Night Football

  • The UNDER is 7-1 in Buffalo’s last 8 games on the road.
  • The UNDER is 8-2 in Bills last 10 games in Week 1.
  • The UNDER is 7-0 in last 7 Jets games against an opponent in the AFC.
  • The UNDER is 6-1 in Jets last 7 games as an underdog.

Anytime TD Scorer: Garrett Wilson +125

The Jets made a ton of noise over the offseason with the addition of future HOFer, Aaron Rodgers. This should make the team’s passing attack much stronger.

Wilson is set to be the main target here for Rodgers and we believe he will be on the scoring end of a pass or 2 in this one.  The plus money is simply too tempting to pass up on this one!
