Best Player Prop Bets for Detroit at Green Bay

This week’s edition of Thursday Night Football could be the best of the season. The Detroit Lions head into Green Bay with an opportunity to start the season with a 3-1 record.

While the Lions have been the team that many have expected, the Packers have been one of the most shocking storylines of the 2023 NFL Season. Jordan Love has looked the part, and if he continues this trajectory, he could be the real deal for this Packers offense.

One of these teams will leave TNF as the NFC North leader, a huge advantage heading into Week 5 of the regular season. It’s likely that either the Lions or Packers will win the division given the current state of the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.

We tend to see strong individual performances in games like this, which is why we are projecting overs on all of the player props we recommend today. Let’s dive into our top three picks from this game!

Jordan Love OVER 221.5 Passing Yards

So I might be a biased Packers fan, but Jordan Love is the TRUTH. He has instilled hope into the hearts and minds of this Packers locker room, and fans are ready to crown him as their king just three weeks into the season.

Love has eclipsed 222 passing yards in two of three games this season, a mark we definitely think will happen again this week.

This has all of the makings of a shootout, and Love could soar over this total, especially if the Packers find themselves in a negative game script. Love is getting more confident each week, and Week 4 will yield a performance demonstrating this.

Luke Musgrave OVER 35.5 Receiving Yards

Don’t look now, but the Packers might have found another receiving weapon. Luke Musgrave has quickly become one of Love’s favorite targets, garnering eight targets in their recent win over the New Orleans Saints.

He has also achieved at least 36 yards in two games thus far, and we believe he’ll be in for another large workload this week.

Love needs a safety valve, especially against the Lions who have one of the league’s best pass rushers. Look for him to throw to Musgrave often in this one, resulting in him smashing this over.

Sam LaPorta OVER 42.5 Receiving Yards

Speaking of rookie tight ends, Sam LaPorta has quickly developed into a strong part of the Lions’ offense. He had a monster performance last week, putting up eight receptions, 84 yards, and scoring a touchdown.

LaPorta is a force to be reckoned with and could be a difficult person for the Packers to defend. They’ll expend a lot of energy trying to contain Amon Ra St. Brown, which could lead to a lot of LaPorta targets, turning into at least 43 yards.
