One of our 4 player prop bets for Sunday Night Football involves David Montgomery of the Bears.
While sides and totals are still getting the majority of attention, player props are getting more and more popular with each NFL season. Props not only make the game more exciting, but they can provide a ton of positive EV wagering opportunities as well.
We found some of these spots in the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. Here are 4 player prop bets to help build your bankroll.
Rodgers does not have much faith in any of his receivers and he has made that known. However, Robert Tonyan is one set of hands that Rodgers should be able to trust.
With defenses shifting to stopping the run-in response to Green Bay’s lack of an imposing passing game could lead to opportunities in the red zone for Tonyan. The +180 odds are simply too good to pass up here.
Rodgers threw a pick last week against the Vikings. The Bears were able to take one away from Trey Lance last week. Chicago will be ball hawking this week against a Packers passing attack that is arguably the weakest it has been in recent years.
We like both of Chicago’s rookie defensive backs. Both Jaquan Brisker and Kyler Gordon are more than capable of grabbing a pick in this game. At almost 2.5 to 1, we are not passing up this value.
Montgomery grabbed 3 passes last week in the comeback win over the Niners. In this matchup, we are expecting the Bears to need to come back once again. We believe that will benefit Montgomery again and the over here should be relatively easy.
The former Iowa State star has been a decent receiver coming out of the backfield his entire career. Through 45 games, Montgomery is averaging 2.8 receptions per game. That’s enough to put us on the Over!
Jones had 3 receptions last week and his longest went for 22 yards. The Bears allowed 3 players to pick up receptions longer than 14 yards last week against the Niners.
Dillon may end up getting the bulk of the carries around the goal line, but Jones will still be a threat out in the flat in passing situations. All we need is for Jones to catch a screen pass and turn it upfield for decent yardage.
We love playing the odds on the 1st touchdown of the game when it is a 1 game slate. Here are the 2 plays that we believe provide the most value on the 1st touchdown prop for Week 2’s SNF game. Both can be found at DraftKings.
