3 WNBA Player Props and a Bonus Bet on Caitlin Clark – Tuesday, July 2

With just over two weeks before the All-Star break, the WNBA action is heating up the summer nights with two red-hot matchups on Tuesday, July 2nd. Up first is a clash between the Eastern and Western conferences’ best two teams as Minnesota travels to New York while the nightcap features Indiana squaring off against defending champion Las Vegas.

After finishing up the NBA season with a 58 percent winning percentage, the hot streak I ended the year on continued into the WNBA predictions. Last week, I finished a perfect 3-0 with three best. Can we keep this streak alive? We’ll cover four top WNBA player prop bets for Tuesday, July 2 below.

Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier OVER 19.5 Points

For the second time in eight days, the Lynx will travel to New York to face off against the Liberty. In the two teams’ previous battle, Minnesota earned a 94-89 victory over New York with the Lynx’s leading scorer – forward Napheesa Collier – scoring 21 points in the win.

Earlier this season, Collier scored a team-high 15 points in the team’s other victory over New York. The 6-foot-1 forward has found her groove, leading the team in scoring in four of the past six games. Expect the former UConn athlete to continue that success and score over 20 points to cover this player prop bet.

Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese OVER 12.5 Rebounds

A battle of two teams competing for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference occurs Tuesday when the Chicago Sky travel to Atlanta to face the Dream. These two teams faced off early in June with Atlanta claiming an 89-90 victory over the homestanding Sky.

Since that victory, Chicago forward Angel Reese has developed into one of the league’s best rebounders, replacing the loss of center Elizabeth Williams. Since Williams left the lineup, Reese has recorded 13 or more rebounds in six of the team’s past seven contests. Expect the 6-foot-3 forward to continue that pace tonight and cover this player prop bet.

Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark UNDER 2.5 3-Point Field Goals

For the second time this season, the Indiana Fever will face off against the Las Vegas Aces. In the team’s first matchup, the Aces pummeled the young Fever 99-80 while holding rookie sensation Caitlin Clark to just eight points in the matchup.

Since that late May game, Clark has found her rhythm, consistently posting double-figure scoring by connecting on several deep three-point attempts per game. In her last two games, however, Clark is shooting just 5-of-17 from behind the arc. Expect the guard to post another double-figure game, but do not bet on her to make more than two 3-point field goals tonight.

Los Angeles Sparks’ Dearica Hamby OVER 27.5 PTS + REB

A battle of two cellar-dwellers occurs when the Washington Mystics travel to Los Angeles to face the Sparks. Washington fell 70-68 in these two teams’ earlier meeting as Los Angeles held on the lead despite multiple final shot attempts from the Mystics to tie the game.

WNBA fans know 6-foot-3 forward Dearica Hamby’s body of work for Los Angeles. This season, Hamby is averaging a double-double with 18.4 points and 10.3 rebounds, and the former Wake Forest product had 17 points and 18 rebounds against Washington the first time around. Expect her to cover this player prop bet easily tonight against the Mystics.
