2025 NFL Fantasy Football Preview: Our Top Offensive Rookies

With fantasy draft season ramping up, let’s take a look at how year one will shape out for our rookie class. While the quarterback class is one to stay away from, the wide receiver class is due to have a few surprises, including Jayden Higgins for the Texans and the Patriots’ new speedster from Washington State. Our top offensive rookies are presented below!

Quarterbacks:

  • 1. Cam Ward (Titans)
  • 2. Jaxon Dart (Giants)
  • 3. Jalen Milroe (Seahawks)

In one of the weaker Quarterback classes of the last handful of years, it might be best to stray away from this position altogether in 2025. Cam Ward is truly the only serviceable Quarterback in redrafts and best ball this season and could be a great QB2 in all types of league formats.

Ward will have a core of Ridley, Pollard, Spears, and Lockett to throw to, which isn’t the worst we’ve seen for a rookie Quarterback. Dart and Milroe are a few years away from being able to turn in some positive play, while the rest of the position will also start the year as a backup.

Running Backs:

  • 1. Ashton Jeanty (Raiders)
  • 2. RJ Harvey (Broncos)
  • 3. Omarion Hampton (Chargers)
  • 4. Kaleb Johnson (Steelers)
  • 5. TreVeyon Henderson (Patriots)

On the total flip side of the coin, this running back class has the ability to do a lot of damage in year one. The AFC West will feature three rookie running backs as primary ball carriers, which I couldn’t imagine has happened before in a division in league history.

Jeanty, Harvey, and Hampton should finish the season top 20 in touches at the position, while Kaleb Johnson and TreVeyon Henderson have more competition in the backfield but are amazing in their primary roles – Johnson as a north-to-south runner and Henderson as a pass catcher.

Wide Receivers:

  • 1. Jayden Higgins (Texans)
  • 2. Travis Hunter (Jaguars)
  • 3. Luther Burden (Bears)
  • 4. Kyle Williams (Patriots)
  • 5. Tet McMillan (Panthers)

Wide receiver is where it gets tricky. While in the long term, Travis Hunter and Tet McMillan look to be the best options for a dynasty league, Jayden Higgins in Houston, Luther Burden in Chicago, and Kyle Williams in New England are all in amazing day one situations to make an instant impact.

Both Higgins and Williams are my deep sleepers this season. Higgins could slide into the WR2 role instantly with Tank Dell out for the season, while the Patriots are in desperate need of a playmaker outside the numbers.
