Our favorite strikeout prop for Monday is on Logan Webb.
After another wild weekend, ten games are on the Major League Baseball slate for Monday. Shohei Ohtani continues to be the biggest story of the first half of the season, as the pitcher/slugger superstar leads the majors in homers with 31. The Angels are currently 6 games back from the Rangers in the AL West division.
Ready to make some extra money before Independence Day? Check out our 2 MLB strikeout props for Monday, July 3. Good luck, and Happy 4th to all!
This is probably my favorite prop bet on today’s MLB board. Webb has a nasty sinker that drops off the table when he’s throwing it well. Seattle ranks next to last in strikeouts per game (9.73), so Webb is likely to have a field day with this lineup.
Speaking of this M’s lineup, they have 8 hitters with a strikeout rate of 25.7% or higher. Jarred Kelenic and Teoscar Hernandez have both been exceptionally bad at striking out this season (33% and 32.5%, respectively). Slugger 3B Eugenio Suarez isn’t too far behind, as his K-rate is 28.2%.
As for Webb, he’s gone over this strikeout total in 10 of his 17 starts this season. We like the fact that he strikes out 24% of the batters that he faces. As long as Webb can pitch into the 6th inning, he shouldn’t have any trouble racking up 6 or more Ks.
Woo doesn’t have an impressive ERA, but he has “wooed” us with 32 strikeouts in only 22.2 innings of work this season. He just compiled 7 strikeouts against the Nationals, which is saying something because they have the lowest K-rate in MLB. Woo also struck out 9 White Sox hitters back on June 16th.
Woo has a lively 4-seam fastball that he often gets hitters to chase up in the zone. He also has an above-average sinker, which has helped him garner a K-rate of 33.3% so far this season. Woo should have plenty of success against a Giants lineup that ranks 28th in strikeout rate this season (9.69).
Seven of San Fran’s hitters strike out at least 25.3% of the time. Blake Sabol and JD Davis both have Whiff rates of above 32%. Look for Woo to strike out 6 or more hitters tonight for the 4th time this season. Good luck!
