As we embark on Week 1 of Preseason football, let’s dive into a few prop bets that look like steals. Opportunity and playing time are vital in these matchups, so look for draft capital, training camp buzz, and depth chart status to make your picks for today.

Jordan Love’s over proves to be a solid bet as Green Bay needs to see what they have in the 3rd year QB. Later in the article, we discuss why Browns WR Cedric Tillman could have a huge performance today, especially with Hall of Fame game star, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, slinging the rock.

QB Jordan Love (GB) OVER 59.5 PASS YDS

The Jordan Love era in Green Bay officially begins today. Love will suit up as the starter for Matt LaFleur and the Packers and become the successor to Brett Farve and Aaron Rodgers, some huge shoes to fill for one of the most rowdy fan bases in the nation.

After two seasons of virtually no playing time, will the patience pay off for the NFC North underdogs? Love should get at least a quarter and a half of game time, as the staff and management will most likely want to see what they have in the first half of play.

With a few highlight throws from open practices and camps, I’d bet on Love getting a fair amount of playing time and completing a few big first down throws to hit the over here.

RB Bijan Robinson (ATL) OVER 18.5 RUSH YDS

Robinson might hit this bet on one rush. The Falcons won’t give their first-round selection more than 10 touches in any preseason bout, but in Game 1, expect a variety of North/South and East/West runs for the top prospect in fantasy football this season.

While the Falcons have Allgeier and Patterson vying for carries in a loaded backfield, we all know that Robinson will be the focal point in this offense in 2023/24, so expect some HB tosses and goal-line work today for the workhorse RB out of Texas.

RB Tyler Badie (BAL) OVER 22.5 RUSH YDS

I was a huge Tyler Badie believer in last season’s fantasy draft process. The former Missouri running back had a fantastic combine and stint in the SEC conference.

However, he found himself in a loaded backfield in Baltimore during his rookie year and struggled to find consistent playing time. 

Now, with the Broncos, Samaje Perine and Javonte Williams aren’t expected to suit up this preseason and with Williams coming off his ACL injury, expect Badie to be a focal point in the backfield today and even catch a few passes out of the backfield from Russ Wilson and company.

A competitive, tough, and quick runner, I’m banking on a huge Tyler Badie performance to solidify his RB3 role on the Broncos roster.

WR Zach Pascal (ARI) OVER 19.5 REC YDS

I’m in love with Zach Pascal’s fit in Glendale. The Cardinals lost their top two receiving options, Christian Kirk and now DeAndre Hopkins in a two-year span.

With Marquise Brown more effective as a deep threat and Zach Ertz battling injury, Zach Pascal could step into a huge role this upcoming season for a struggling team that will find themselves down in plenty of ball games.

Now an NFL veteran, Pascal’s rather uneventful season with the Eagles should be made up for this season, as he and HC Jonathan Gannon head to the desert. As a viable target out of the slot, expect him and Clayton Tune to link up for a few first downs today.

WR Cedric Tillman (CLE) OVER 24.5 REC YDS

Tillman has been getting a great buzz out of Browns camp this past month. Mixed in the roster alongside just a few solidified starters including Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore, Tillamn could easily slide into a WR3 role in an offense that thrives off short-yardage gains which will be essential in PPR leagues.

The 6’3 plus-sized receiver had a fantastic combine that put him among the 1st rounders in ability and athleticism. While his 40-yard dash left more to be desired, Tillman is bound to get the most targets in the 1st half of the Browns battle today after their Hall of Fame game win where Tillman went for 35 yards on 2 catches.

With Dorian Thompson-Robinson slinging it, expect a handful of deep balls his way today and throughout the regular season.
