NBA Monday Betting Preview: 3 Player Props and Predictions for January 6

Ready to make some money on the hardwood? Our NBA insider chimes in with his 3 best player props and predictions for Monday, January 6.

With the Phoenix Suns desperately needing a victory to end their four-game skid, Bradley Beal is one of our top bets of the night as he transitions into his bench role to start the new year.

F Ausar Thompson (DET) OVER 5.5 Rebounds

The Detroit Pistons host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night in a matchup between two struggling franchises. There is one up-and-comer we are placing our trust in.

Ausar Thompson has seen 24 or more minutes in three of his last four outings, and with the injury to Jaden Ivey should maintain a large role within this Pistons squad.

Ausar has secured 5 or more boards in each of the last five games he’s taken the court, while grabbing 10 boards last game against the Wolves. An athlete with incredible size and speed, this is a great matchup for him against a softer Portland defense.

G Bradley Beal (PHX) OVER 13.5 Points

Although the reports state that Brad Beal will be coming off the bench as the Phoenix Suns try and reroute the ship after a four-game losing streak, we are taking this point total.

Beal will now command the offense off the bench and gather more on-ball duties and easier matchups on the other side of the ball.

An all-star level scorer, Beal should excel in this role and get to his regular 18 point average against Philly in what feels like a near must-win for the Suns.

F Tristan Da Silva (ORL) OVER 1.5 3PM

One of our favorite rookies is starting to heat up! Tristan Da Silva is a true three-level scorer at the forward spot that has excelled for Orlando in Wagner and Banchero’s absence.

TDS has shot three or more 3-point attempts in nine of his last ten outings, while shooting it at a 35.8% clip throughout his rookie campaign.

Facing a New York Knicks team that does poorly in the middle of the game against pace when resting Bridges and Brunson, I’m expecting Da Silva to take advantage of playing against some of New York’s bench unit to hit this prop mark. TDS shoots it nearly 40% from downtown in away games.
