Broncos at Saints Betting Preview: Odds, Predictions, and Best Bet for Thursday Night Football

Week 7 of the NFL season kicks off with the Saints hosting the Broncos on Thursday Night Football. Check out our betting preview for all the info you need! Enjoy the action and best of luck with all of your wagers!

Denver Broncos vs New Orleans Saints

Denver, now 3-3, is heading to New Orleans on Thursday night to take on the 2-4 Saints. After winning 3 straight games, the Broncos dropped their last game on Sunday to the Chargers 23=16. They trailed 20-0 at the half but fought valiantly in the 4th quarter to cut the lead to just 7 points with a minute remaining. After an unsuccessful onside kick attempt, the Broncos were able to kneel the ball to run out the clock and get the victory.

The Saints dropped their 4th straight game on Sunday. With Derek Carr sidelined, Spencer Rattler was forced into action. He finished with 2 interceptions and completed just 55% of his passes. He lost star receiver Chris Olave early in the game to a concussion. But the story in this game was the defense and their inability to stop the Bucs offense.

Baker Mayfield threw for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. The ground game was clicking as well with the backs combining for 277 yards on the ground. Olave is likely to be out for this matchup as well as Carr, so Rattler will have his hands full trying to keep the offense moving the chains.

Best Bet: Saints +2.5

Even without their starting QB and top wideout, the Saints were still able to put up 27 points in their loss last week. This Denver offense is nowhere near the caliber of Tampa Bay and a rookie QB should rarely be laying points in a road game.

We believe that the Saints will focus on using Alvin Kamara in all aspects of the offense and do enough to defeat this Bronco team at home on Thursday night football. We’d love to get a +3 if it pops, but even the +2.5 is enough for us to pull the proverbial trigger.

Key Trends for Denver at New Orleans:

  • Denver is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games played in week 7.
  • Denver is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games played on a Thursday.
  • New Orleans is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games when playing as the favorite.

Prop Play Leans:

  • Alvin Kamara Anytime TD: -110
  • Alvin Kamara OVER 110.5 Rush/Receiving Yards: -110
