Best Player Prop Bets for NFL Week 9

Week 9 is here! I don’t know about any of you, but the NFL season is flying by far too quickly. We talk all offseason about how much we long for the league to return, and every year, it comes and goes faster than we would like.

With our eyes shifted towards the back half of the season, Week 9 has a few intriguing matchups that could determine teams’ motivations moving forward. For instance, the Minnesota Vikings were on a roll, hoping to make a playoff push after a slow start. With Kirk Cousins falling to injury, if they lose this week, the Vikings could quickly turn from playoff hopefuls to a team that is jockeying for a better draft position.

With the stakes of many teams in mind, we’ve taken a deep dive into Sunday’s slate of NFL games, and we’ve put together our three favorite player props of the week. All three plays can be found on Underdog. Let’s get into it!

Lamar Jackson OVER 233.5 Passing Yards

Lamar Jackson has been a tough person to trust this season, both from a player prop and from a DFS perspective. He had one game with 357 yards, followed up by a 157-yard performance last week. However, we’re confident that Jackson will throw for at least 250 yards this week against the Seattle Seahawks.

Jackson and the Ravens are currently tied for the top spot in the AFC. They are going to do everything they can to hold on to their positioning, especially since the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs play each other this week. The Seahawks are not an easy matchup, and their offense is finally picking up.

With all of this in mind, this should be a close game. Jackson should be forced to throw the ball more in this one, especially if it’s down to the wire in the fourth quarter. Take his over with confidence!

Alvin Kamara OVER 33.5 Receiving Yards

We are shocked by how low this over/under is for Kamara. He has totaled at least 36 receiving yards in his last three games, which includes a 91-yard game.

The New Orleans Saints’ offense isn’t quite firing on all cylinders, leaving many to question Derek Carr and his future as their quarterback. Despite an overall lack of production, Kamara has been a great safety net in the offense, an opportunity for Carr to dump the ball off and let Kamara go to work.

Plus, this Chicago Bears defense is not what we are used to. Look for Kamara to hit this line with ease, perhaps even in the first half if he has a big play.

Adam Thielen OVER 68.5 Receiving Yards

Sometimes, you just have to ride the hot hand until he proves otherwise. We have hit bets on Thielen’s over in five straight weeks, and we’re not going to stop now.

Thielen’s veteran presence has been a blessing for Bryce Young in the Carolina Panthers offense as Young continues to work and figure out the system.

The team might have just won their first game of the season, but Thielen’s presence has been as consistent as they come. Look for another massive week out of him, logging his sixth consecutive game with more than 70 receiving yards.
