The Boston Celtics meet up with the New York Knicks for what Eastern Conference fans hope becomes a yearly tradition. After a grueling series that needed some Brunson magic to end, the Knicks once again are hobbling into a gauntlet of a series where, in reality, they don’t stand a chance.

OG Anunoby (NYK) OVER 15.5 Points

OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges have both been elite for New York since entering postseason play. OG has championship experience in Toronto and can be a bucket-getter when needed. In the Pistons series, Anunoby went for 23/10/22/8/19/22 points for a 17.3 PPG average.

With a point of emphasis on tiring out Brown and Tatum on the defensive end, I expect OG to be aggressive from the get-go and put pressure on the Celtics defense from all three levels. The wingman has made 42% of his threes in 8 career Game 1s while averaging 13.8 PPG.

Derrick White (BOS) OVER 23.5 PRA

Talking about a guy who likes Game 1s, Derrick White has been a monster for Boston to open countless playoff series. The veteran guard has dropped 20/25/15/15/30 in his last five Game 1s, including hitting this PRA prop in 4 of 5.

With a hobbled Holiday, expect White to play around 35-40 minutes in this opening Eastern Conference Semis matchup with a point of emphasis on his 3-ball, which looked solid to open the series against Orlando. DWhite also averaged almost 10 rebounds & assists in that series.

I am anti-Thibs’ rotation. Brunson, OG, Hart, Towns, and Bridges cannot all play 40 minutes per game during this series. After getting beat up against the Pistons grueling youthful defense, I think New York will lose some steam down the stretch in this game.
