Dallas at Minnesota Betting Guide: 3 Player Props for Game 2 on Friday, May 24

Last night Tyrese Haliburton re-aggravated his hamstring leaving the game resulting in the Celtics going 2-0 up on the Pacers. With a banged-up Luka Doncic, the Mavericks will try to send this series back to Dallas up 2-0.

It’s very upsetting that there is only one NBA per day now, but now we can focus on the solo matchup. Here are three player props you should look for tonight.

Dallas Mavericks’ Kyrie Irving OVER 22.5 Points

On Wednesday, I told you to take over 8.5 rebounds and assists. That one was a sweat, but Kyrie pulled through with nine. Today, with how he is playing as of late, he should go over 22.5. In the last 6/8 games, Irving has scored at least 20. Now he has scored 22 exactly on two of them, but this series is for him to take over.

Luka is not his normal self. He is still putting up points at his usual level, but that knee and ankle have been bothering him. He showed up on the injury report before game one with a knee sprain and ankle soreness and with only one day of rest, it will catch up. That leaves Irving to take the load.

If you look at previous games for the 6’4 guard, he OWNS the Wolves. He scored 30 in the last game, and in his previous three, scoring 30. Anthony Edwards will be guarding him. Take Kyrie with the over tonight at 22.5.

Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards UNDER 27.5 Points

This bet is a tricky one. We know Anthony Edwards can break out for 40 on any given night, as he did it on Mother’s Day. Since then, he has been a nonscoring factor. ANT has not hit his over in points once since May 12. They have played four games since then and he has not come close. In game one of this series, he shot 6 for 16 from the field scoring 19 points, and in game seven, six for 24 scoring 16 points.

The Wolves have started playing a full-team game as Edwards goes through this slump, as six of their eight rotation players scored in double figures in game one. Edwards has also been more of the distributor during this slump, as he recorded 11 rebounds and eight assists in game one. I expect him to do that again tonight. It could be worth sprinkling a little bit on his triple-double at +4000

The number one pick in the 2020 draft also gets doubled an extreme amount of times as teams want to let someone else beat them. The Mavericks will be doing the same again. Expect ANT to go under 27.5 points.

Dallas Mavericks’ PJ Washington OVER 17.5 Points and Rebounds

On Wednesday, I took Washington to go under 12.5 points and he beat me on a hook scoring 13. He wasn’t a huge factor in the game but scored when the Mavs needed him most. The Kentucky alum has turned into a bit of a role player this postseason. Becoming a primary rebounder for Dallas and a corner specialist from beyond the arc.

In the last six games, Washington has cleared this line easily, scoring in double-digit points in each game he hit the over. He has grabbed at least seven boards in five games. Besides the two centers, Gafford and Lively, Washington is the primary rebounder for the Mavs, being top three in boards this postseason.

If you look back at previous games for Washington against Minnesota, he has recorded over 18 points in rebounds in 4/4 games. With the Timberwolves lineup having two seven-footers, it allows Washington to thrive on the glass. Expect him to score in double figures and get around eight boards to hit the over on this prop.
