3 NFL Passing Props to Back This Sunday: Love, Prescott, and Jackson

Week 1 of the NFL season always comes with a little bit of guesswork — new coordinators, new weapons, and offenses still finding their rhythm. But three of Sunday’s marquee quarterback matchups have enough real history and matchup data behind them that the guesswork mostly disappears. Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, and Lamar Jackson all have passing yardage props this week that line up cleanly with what we already know about their opponents and their own tendencies.

None of these picks require projecting a career year or a total collapse. Each one is built on a simple, repeatable trend: a defense that struggles in a specific way, or a quarterback who behaves a specific way in a specific matchup. Here’s the case for all three, explained so you can see exactly why the number is beatable.

Jordan Love Under 239.5 Passing Yards (GB @ MIN)

Green Bay travels to Minnesota for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff inside U.S. Bank Stadium, with the Vikings favored by 1.5 and the total sitting around 46.5. Books have Love’s passing yardage line bunched tightly between 235.5 and 240.5, which tells you the market is confident in this number — and the matchup history backs that up.

Love threw for 225.4 yards per game in 2025, well shy of this number even in a neutral matchup. Against Brian Flores-designed defenses specifically, Love has been held to just 6.7 yards per attempt across five career starts, and when Minnesota has gotten pressure on him, he’s completed under 51% of his throws for only 5.6 yards per attempt. Flores’ scheme is built to confuse quarterbacks with disguised pressure, and Love has been one of the more affected passers in the league against it.

Add in that this is a dome game with a modest total and a Vikings team that allowed the fewest 20-plus-yard pass plays in the league last season, and the explosive-play upside that would push Love past 240 yards just isn’t there. This is a game script that favors underneath, ball-control football — not a shootout.

Dak Prescott Under 260.5 Passing Yards (DAL @ NYG, SNF)

Sunday Night Football closes the Week 1 slate with Cowboys-Giants from MetLife Stadium, and Prescott’s number here is one of the more counterintuitive plays on the board — because his career history against the Giants is actually dominant. Prescott is 14-3 all-time against New York, completing 66% of his passes for 4,346 yards, 31 touchdowns, and just 9 interceptions in those 17 meetings, good for a 101.5 career rating against this specific opponent.

The key is in the per-game average, not the win total: Prescott has thrown for 255.6 yards per game across those 17 starts against the Giants. That average sits comfortably under this week’s 260.5 line. The reason is straightforward — Prescott has feasted on the Giants by being efficient and taking what the defense gives him, not by needing huge volume. Dallas has also historically controlled these games on the ground and with a run-heavy approach when the score allows it, which caps pass attempts even in wins.

There’s also been a recent version of this exact script: in Dallas’s most recent meeting with New York this January, Prescott needed only 11 attempts before an early exit skewed the sample, but it’s part of a broader pattern of Dallas not needing to lean on Prescott’s arm against this opponent. With a track record this consistent sitting right at the number, the under carries real weight.

Lamar Jackson Over 220.5 Passing Yards (BAL @ IND)

Baltimore opens on the road against Indianapolis at 1 p.m. ET as 3.5-point favorites with a total in the high-40s, and this is the one spot on the board where the matchup clearly favors the passer going over his number rather than under it. Indianapolis’s pass defense was one of the worst units in football last season, finishing 31st in passing yards allowed and giving up 7.1 yards per attempt (19th) with a defense that ranked 21st in EPA allowed per pass.

The Colts’ secondary took a real hit last year, too — All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner was limited by injuries after joining the team, and the unit as a whole allowed 24 passing touchdowns against just 14 interceptions. Even with some expected improvement, a defense that gave up nearly 350 total yards per game in 2025 isn’t the group to bet against a quarterback clearing a modest passing number.

Jackson doesn’t need to turn into a pure pocket passer to clear 220 yards — he just needs the game script that a 3.5-point spread and a 47.5-48.5 total suggest: a competitive game where Baltimore leans on the pass to keep the offense balanced and take advantage of a defense that struggled to get off the field last season. With Jackson’s arm talent and a defense this vulnerable through the air, the over is the side with the room to work.

Lock These In

Three different quarterbacks, three different reasons, but each pick is grounded in a real trend rather than a guess. Love’s matchup history against this specific scheme says under. Prescott’s full body of work against this specific opponent says under. And Indianapolis’s well-documented struggles against the pass say over for Jackson. If you’re deciding where to put your DraftKings promo code to work this weekend, these are the spots worth a look.

  • Jordan Love UNDER 239.5 passing yards
  • Dak Prescott UNDER 260.5 passing yards
  • Lamar Jackson OVER 220.5 passing yards

Check your book for the exact number and price before kickoff, since lines can shift right up to game time. But the underlying trends behind all three of these plays have held up all week.
