We have another full slate of football heading our way and I can’t be more excited to cash a few more touchdown props. It’s been a fun season to start and now that we are getting some data, the research process gets even more fun!
There are a lot of different markets one can target when betting on the NFL and in this article I am going to lay out 3 anytime touchdown plays I absolutely love this weekend!
This is a play we were on a lot last season and will probably be on most weeks this season. He let us down last week, but was slightly expected with his history vs the Dolphins. I think this week he has a perfect setup to again find the endzone at some point in this game.
The Jaguars have had as tough defense through 2 games this season, allowing just 20 and 18 in two losing efforts. I believe Allen may struggle a bit in the pass game, which will force him to be more creative with the running game to create points. Allen found the endzone on them last season and can get there with a designed run, or a scramble.
Not too many other running backs are near locks to find the endzone when their teams reach the 5 and 10 yard lines. Montgomer fits that bill, and all we need is the Lions to find the redzone, preferably inside the 5. In his first two games he has received 4 and 3 red zone touches.
Montgomery has also scored in 7 of his last 8 games. Arizona sits 3rd to last(28th) in the league in rushing touchdowns allowed per game(1.5) and rushing touchdowns allowed(3). No doubt Gibbs is a threat to score each week, but when this team reaches the redzone, he is the guy and they should find the goaline in this game more than once.
It’s crazy that Chase still has 0 touchdowns on the season, and we are getting plus money on his prop. Chase has yet to find the endzone, but what I like is he has 10 receptions on 11 targets. Throw him the rock, and he will haul it in.
Now he gets to face a Commander’s defense that allowed 4 passing touchdowns to Baker Mayfield, 3 of which went to his 2 top targets in Evans and Godwin in week 1. Last week they allowed Daniel Jones to throw 2 touchdowns, hitting Nabers, his top target for 1.
If there is any week for Chase to break out and get his first touchdown, it should be this weekend at home vs porous pass defense allowing the 4th most points per game (27.5). This is a game Cincinnati finds their first win and puts some offense up on the board.
My Best Bets:
Josh Allen (Buf) Anytime TD (-115) DraftKings
David Montgomery (Det) Anytime TD (-110) Fanduel
Jamar Chase (Cin) Anytime TD (+120) DraftKings/Caesars
