2 Player Prop Bets We Love for Game 5 of NBA Finals

The Denver Nuggets are looking to capture their first NBA title in franchise history. Will they close the deal tonight? Most online sportsbooks think so, as most shops favor the ” Nuggs ” by 8.5 to 9 points.

The total has been bouncing around between 209.5 and 210.5 for most of the day. As always, be sure that you shop around for the best number if you’re playing.

Ready for tonight’s matchup between the Heat and Nuggets? Here are 2 Player Prop Bets We Love for Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Good luck!

Caleb Martin OVER 9.5 Points (-110) (BetMGM)

Martin has come back down to earth some against the Nuggets after torching the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. Nevertheless, we can’t ignore the fact that Martin has gone over this point total in 16 of 23 playoff games this year. That’s a trend so strong that we can’t help but ride it.

Denver has been playing solid three-point defense all year long, as they rank 2nd in that category. However, the Nuggets only rank 15th in fast break points allowed per game. We’re hoping that translates into some easy buckets for Martin tonight in Game 5.

After scoring only 3 points in Game 1 and Game 2, Martin bounced back to go over this point total in Games 3 & 4 down in South Beach. Look for the former Nevada Wolfpack star to easily get into double digits tonight. Our projection has Martin finishing with around 13 points in this one.

Michael Porter Jr. OVER 10.5 Points (-122) (FanDuel)

MPJ has been a little bit inconsistent in this series, but he’s still gone over this point total in 6 of his last 8 ball games. Though his recent drop in minutes is a little concerning, we look for Nuggets head coach Michael Malone to give Porter 40+ minutes as he did in Game 1. If that happens, Porter has an excellent shot of going over this fairly low point total.

During the regular season, Porter averaged more than 17 points per contest. For his career, he’s averaging over 15 points per game. Both of those statistics prove that Porter is a capable scorer when he’s given the opportunity.

The Heat are pretty stingy on the defensive end, but they ranked just 21st in opponent shooting efficiency and 12th in 3-point defense this season. With the majority of Miami’s attention on stopping Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, look for Porter to have a solid game in the scoring column. Play the Over!
